I watched Loki walk up and down in the cell Fury put us into.
"I can't believe this happened!", he nagged. "Putting me, the god of mischief, in a cell with a mortal I don't even know! It's ridiculous!"
I sat on the ground and leaned on the cell glass for a while now, looking at him pacing. "Well, we have been in here for two hours. So we do know each other at least a little bit."
Loki scowled at me. "These two hours don't make it any better. I am a super villain, I should be taking over earth right now!"
"Oh, that seems to be going great."
Loki cursed. "You are the worst person I could be in this cell with."
"Thanks."
He rolled his eyes and turned back to pacing up and down. For the next few hours, we begrudgingly got to know each other, always with a little spice of teasing and mocking. At the end of the day, when the lights in the room went off, I felt enamoured by him. I mean, he was looking good and I liked the teasing ...
Loki sighed and sat down next to me.
I turned my head to look at him. "Finally walked over every square centimeter of this cell?"
He suppressed a smirk. "Oh, shut up."
I wanted to counter with another sassy comment, but the final light went off and only the electric devices around the cell threw their shimmer over us. I frowned and crossed my arms.
Loki examined me. "What?"
"It's just ..." I sighed. "I am scared of the dark."
I watched his expression and he seemed to consider if he should laugh about it or not. I was glad he decided for the later option.
"Come here", he growled so grumpily that I almost didn't understand him.
"What?", I still asked, not believing what I just heard.
"I said come here. Don't laugh, I want to comfort you."
I stared at him for another moment, then I carefully moved over, waiting for him to tell me he was joking. But he didn't.
I finally reached him and Loki slipped one arm around me in a surprisingly elegant way. My heart fluttered and I leaned my head on his shoulder. We stayed like this for a while, and I couldn't help but think his position was a bit stiff.
"Better?", he asked.
"Uhm, yes", I said but couldn't hide a chuckle.
"Why are you laughing?"
"Because it feels like you are a little stiff."
Loki turned his head to look at me. "What? I and stiff? I am the snake, the always tricksing god of mischief, winding my way through everything. I can't be stiff."
I smirked. "Well, you are."
He raised an eyebrow. "Fine, then try to do it better."
I smiled and crawled half on top of him, leaning my head against his chest and put his two arms around my waist. Then I tapped on his shoulder. "Let go of that tension. More. Yes, that's more like it."
His expression seemed sceptical but accepting.
"Like it?", I asked.
"... yes."
I smiled again and cuddled into him, wrapping my arms around his waist. It felt good to have such a companion in the dark prison cell. And I was pretty sure he liked me.
_First of all: I know I have a few requests left and I will write them! This one was more a small spontaneous one, so I thought I could write it quickly.
Also I thought about adding a kiss, but I think it would be a bit forced. I just wanted to leave it at some cuddling. But I am quite sure a kiss fell between these two somewhat into the night ;)
