I AM AFRAID OF HEIGHTS

"Ready for some adventure?"

I diverted my gazed to him, he's grinning and squinting his eyes at the same time. I just giggled as I slowly nodded as an answer.

Hinayaan ko lang ang mga paa kong sumunod sa kaniyang yapak. Ilang sandali lamang ay natagpuan ko ang aking sarili sa isang perya.

Maraming mga bata ang makikitang naglalaro kung saan saan. I smiled when our eyes met, he just nodded and held me by the hand as we roamed the place.

"Psst."

I just raised a brow on him, asking 'what?' He then pouted his lips and pointed it out to somewhere.

Napailing-iling na lang ako sabay tingin sa kung saan mang itinuro niya. My smile suddenly faded when I realized it was the ferris wheel he's pointing at.

I gulped, "N-natatakot ako..."

"Fear should be overcome. Trust me, this would be fun! Kaya tara na!"

I just sighed, feeling a little but uneasy. Nakasakay na kami ngayon sa ferris wheel and my heart just keep on racing.

To my surprise, I felt his hand pressed my palm, as if calming my whole system. I turned to look at his gazed, he has that smile telling me that everything's gonna be okay.

I smiled back, closed my eyes and held his hand tighter as the ferris wheel starts.

"See? Hindi naman nakakatakot ah?" he murmured then caged me in his arms.

Dahan-dahan kong iminulat ang aking mga mata, pero agad rin akong nagsisi nang mapagtanto ko kung nasaan kami.

"Ayaw ko na! Nasa tuktok na tayo depongal ka! Pagkatapos nito, break na tayo! Hindi pala nakakatuwa, sabi ko naman sa'yo---"

With a speed as a light has, I felt his lips on mine. He was carefully moving it as he taste every detail of my lips. I was about to kiss him back when he parted our lips.

"Oh, anong sabi ng baby ko? Ha? Hm?"

Agad ko naman siyang sinamaan ng tingin tsaka pinalo nang bahagya.

"Baliw ka Air, I take back my words. Rawr!"

I then pulled him closer to me, reaching out his nape. I stared at his perfectly shape eyes and smirked before we crashed our lips together again.

It wasn't just a kissed, it's everything where the magics begins. I could still vividly remember how our lips met. How he bit my lower lip in a soft yet aggressive way.

It's haunting me every night, his hugs, kisses, the way he smiles. It's all in my head, I couldn't get to sleep until now.

"I miss you Air..." I murmured, despite of my tears brushing down my cheeks.

I'm Hani, and I'm afraid of heights.

I am so afraid of heights, to the point that I forgot the fear of loosing him.

I let out a deep sighed. "Hindi na ako takot sa heights, kung kaya lang talaga kitang akyatin diyan sa taas, edi sana ginawa ko na..."

I wiped out my tears as I smiled weakly, staring at the dimmy sky along with those sparkling stars.

"I hope you're happy up there. I love you one last time, Air. "
