The next day came and it was day two for the Blackhawks Convention in Boston. Piper made it from the hotel back to the Hilton. She mingled into the crowd, checking in once more. Now that she knew what to do, it was much easier for her. She mixed into the fans and headed around the lobby, looking for Jeremy's station.
She HAD to see him today. Otherwise she might not ever see him. And she had to. Jeremy was the reason she'd come!
Piper copied what she had done yesterday. Before she wandered around the room and spotted Percy's station. A group of girls wearing Percy's number 88 jersey were gathered around the booth. They were decked in the merchandise of the team. Their faces were painted red and black and they had lots of jewelry. One of the girls had one of the autographed/signed pucks in her hand. (Although this one was plain...with no signature.) Another had a poster and the third had a hockey stick.
Diehards, Piper thought to herself. Granted, she was a diehard herself...but mainly for just her favorite player.
As her legs carried her onward, she couldn't help but look at them and be distracted. And it cost her as she collided with someone else. Piper stumbled backward and fell to the ground. She shook her head and brushed her hair from her face. Then she looked to see who or what she'd run into.
She found herself looking at a young man decked in the Boston colors. He was wearing a Jeremy Sagan jersey on. Just like herself. He groaned and locked eyes with her. His eyes were dark brown...almost black. His hair was a dark brown as well and slicked back. He looked like a twin of Andrew Shaw's....only slightly less attractive in the face. He didn't look athletic, but he did have some sports vibe about him.
Some serious flow, Piper remarked to herself in her head.
"I'm sorry, I should have been looking where I was going!" the guy stated. "I didn't hurt you did I?"
"No, no, it was mostly my fault!" Piper responded, grabbing his hand as he held it out to help her up like a gentleman. She was yanked back up to her feet and they stood awkwardly rubbing their shoulders.
"So, uh, Jeremy fan?" the guy asked, nodding at her jersey.
"Saganista," Piper corrected him with a curt giggle. "And I can see you're one as well."
"Yeah, well, not a crazy Sagan fangirl...or Saganista. I'm just a fanboy of him. I was hoping to catch his booth, but I can't find it...or him."
"Me neither. Is he even doing the exhibits?" Piper giggled to herself. "I mean I saw him yesterday at the opening ceremony. His name is on the list of attendees and exhibitors...so he to be here somewhere."
"Has to be. Whatever Percy does, he does."
"And Brampton too."
They broke into another awkward silence. Then the guy extended his hand out to her and smiled sweetly. "The name's Kaiden Donovan or Kai for short."
She took his hand and shook it. "Piper. Piper Peregrine." She smiled back at him. "Are you from Boston or New England?"
Kaiden laughed. "I'm from Boston. You?"
"Same. I'm a Northie." Piper laughed again. "You?"
"Southie."
"Oh."
There was another awkward moment of silence.
"Well, I guess we should go find Jeremy's booth. Wanna walk together?" Piper asked.
"Sure. I'd like that. So, how'd you get into the Blackhawks?" Kaiden inquired as they walked off, deeper into the convention hall.
"Jeremy Sagan....well I guess it was actually Percy. Kaner's sweet hands and stickhandling. Very entertaining to watch you know and then when I watched him, I saw Segs...and I fell in love with him. I mean, those eyes and hair...how does he keep looking so...pretty?"
Kaiden chuckled to himself and nodded. "Well, Piper, he's even better in person. I saw him up close and personal myself already, yesterday. However, I wanted to catch him today too. In fact, I had an idea. How'd you like to have your very own hockey player as your own?"
Piper looked at him with wide eyes. "Are you talking about doing what I think you are?"
"Kidnapping Jeremy? Indeed." Kaiden's sweet, innocent smile twisted darkly as he looked at her. "What do you say? We can hold him and he can teach me how to score...and pleasure you."
Piper turned away and looked at the booths to her side. Brampton Benn and Nikita Nichushkin had come out of their hiding places and were in their booths now. Brampton actually looked at them and smiled. Piper waved back and fangirled. Then she spun back to Kaiden, who was holding his creepy smirk. He was glancing in the direction of Jeremy's booth.
They'd finally found it! And Jeremy was there, signing away as a group of girls - Saganistas - lined up to get their jerseys signed.
Piper glanced at him, her eyes wandering onto Jeremy's muscularly toned arms. She sighed and closed her eyes. I really, really, really want him. But is kidnapping him the best way? If I don't though, he'll never like me. I have to. God, I must have him! Her eyes opened and she continued to let them trail down the hockey player's body.
Piper was so entranced, she had begun to blush and walk forward. Kaiden jerked her from her thoughts and halted her, grabbing her by the arm. She turned back to him and allowed an evil smirk to cross her lips. "I'm in, Kai!"
"Excellent! I'm thinking that you'll be perfect for my plan." Kaiden looked at Jeremy and narrowed his eyes into a focus mode. He looked like he was trying to blow the guy up with his mind and he looked almost like he wasn't a Jeremy fan.
"What plan is that?" Piper questioned.
"Tomorrow, when the convention is almost over, I'm thinking that is when you can 'meet Jeremy and get his autograph'. Can you wait until then?"
"I guess."
"Because you'll lure him into a room, I'll jump him and knock him out with some chloroform and then we can take him away with us. But we'll have to find the right room...one with two exits." Kaiden snickered to himself as he envisioned a run-through of his plan.
"Alright...but one thing...can I get Percy too?" Piper questioned, giving her new friend a sly smile.
"That can be arranged. A blond and brunette. Perfect. You want a Russian too?" Kaiden questioned, gesturing to Nikita Nichushkin, who was chatting to Brampton.
Piper shook her head. "I don't do Russians. Just Jeremy and Percy are fine to me."
"Then it is settled, tomorrow you and I will meet up, run through the last panels and then set up the grand attack plan! Once it begins though, there's no turning back. You know that, right?"
"I do. I'm willing to do this though. I've GOT to have Jeremy as mine and Percy too!"
"Piper Peregrine, welcome to Kaiden Time then!"
Piper glanced back at Jeremy, devilishly smirking. Suddenly her mind twisted with evil thoughts and she was eager for the next day to get there. She couldn't wait to meet Jeremy...and dare she actually admit that she was looking forward to getting him as her own. Kaiden got her, understood her.
For the rest of the day, they conversed and hung out and watched the panels. There was one entitled "(The Best of) Blackhawks TV" and Jeremy, Jonathan, Percy and Brampton were apart of it. Brampton was super shy, while Jonathan was easily amused and Percy and Jeremy talked most of the time. Jeremy mostly. The young brunette forward was quick to accuse others and make fun of Crow and Nikita.
And when the panel was done, the convention concluded for the day, wrapping up with a few more exhibits in the main hall. Piper was so eager, that she didn't realize she'd gotten Brampton's signature with Kaiden by here. She was too busy, lost in thought, thinking about the marvelous plan and how tomorrow she'd officially have a boyfriend.
She'd have Jeremy Sagan.
