Miyeon watched rather amused as her and Jugyeong entered the classroom, the girl in front of her waving her hand over at Suho just as Taehoon bounced into the room followed closely by Hyunkyu, and Suho let the hand he had raised to return her wave fall to his lap.
"Still haven't told anyone, I'm guessing." Miyeon mumbled to Jugyeong as she sat in her seat, the Hwang girl leaning beside her. Jugyeong was throwing glances in Suho's direction, and when Miyeon looked up from where she was frowning at Taehoon's expression, Sooa had entered.
The Choi girl was as energetic as she usually was, skipping into the classroom. "Good morning!" She called sweetly to the half-empty room, Taehoon holding up his arms in a heart and both Miyeon and Jugyeong smiling at her as she slipped into her seat.
In response to Miyeon's question, Jugyeong had just shaken her head. Both her and Suho had told the girl in the middle of it all just why they weren't telling people yet, and whilst Miyeon knew that they were valid reasons, she thought it wouldn't be a bad idea for them to reveal their relationship. Jugyeong was worried about the bullies - but Suho knew Jiu-Jitsu, he was fine. Miyeon had decided to remain neutral though, and not state her opinion on it.
Her gaze drifted over the classroom, a sigh leaving her lips as she caught Seojun staring at Suho once again. "Morning" She mouthed, waving her hand in a small wave as she caught his eye. Seojun just swallowed, nodding in returned to the gesture. He wasn't a waving person, really.
"Oh!" Sooa exclaimed, and several people looked up towards the girl. Miyeon was included in that number, and when she saw Sooa's expression, she knew something was up. "One of my friends in 2-3 told me something rather interesting." Sooa twisted towards Miyeon, elbow balanced on the table and her chin resting on her palm. "About you and a certain boy you went to middle school with.. Song Hyunwoo."
"Hm?" Jugyeong's eyes widened as she looked up at Miyeon. "But I thought..." She trailed off, not actually voicing what she had.
"Why didn't you tell me!" Sooa whined, bouncing up and down on her chair. "If I knew you and Hyunwoo knew each other I would've set you up a long time ago. I'm friends with one of his friends - it would have been easier to do."
"I barely even remembered him. Middle school is just kind of a blur." The girl who was being questioned just shrugged. "Besides, nothing interesting happened, he just reminded me that we knew each other, exchanged numbers and promised not to let his friends coerce him into telling stupid pick up lines."
"Good call." Sooa nodded, looking rather wise. "But.. what about when..." She trailed off, eyes darting over to Seojun who was watching the conversation.
"Huh?" The boy looked startled as the three girls turned to look at him. "What..? I saw my friend talking to a stranger."
"Didnt you go to the same middle school though?" Jugyeong asked, and the Han boy grumbled something before flicking his hair out of his eyes and settling into his seat. "I just have to go hand in my form to Mr Han." Jugyeong said suddenly, getting to her feet and heading out of the classroom without many more words.
"You need to tell me everything at break, okay?" Sooa asked, jumping out of her seat. "Kang Su!" The fourth girl to their group had arrived and taken the Choi girl with her, and so Miyeon made her way to her seat, slipping into her seat.
"Do you have a problem with it, Seojun?" She asked. "I'm not asking to be mean or anything I just.. I trust your outlook on things. Really." Miyeon gulped, hoping it wasn't too much.
"Really." Seojun repeated, eyebrow raised slightly as he watched Miyeon confirm it. "In that case, I think he seems nice, but you should be careful."
"I mean that's a given." Miyeon laughed. "I barely remember him from middle school so it's natural to be careful at this point. I'm just going to.." Her voice died out and Seojun looked up to see her smiling out of the window, waving at someone.
Twisting in his seat, he looked to the back door to the classroom to see Hyunwoo walk away, his friends cheering by his side.
Mr Han soon entered and not much else was said, everyone else arriving and Jugyeong coming back from the office. Miyeon was half asleep, head propped up by her elbow as they discussed the final exam, jumping out of her skin as Jugyeong jumped out of her seat, shouting 'no!'.
Everyone gasped, staring at the slightly breathless girl. "Okay, fine." Mr Han said. "Since Jugyeong seems to be so against it, I won't make you guys study more for the final exam."
Cheers and clapping echoed around the room, Miyeon and Seojun joining in half-heartedly and still drowsy. It was a miracle either of them got acceptable grades, let alone Miyeon's top ones, considering all they seemed to do sat at the back of the class was sleep.
Jugyeong sunk into her desk, and Miyeon's clapping relented as she felt rather suddenly worried for her friend.
But hopefully it would work out, and Jugyeong was just worrying over nothing.
