A silence had fallen between the two as they made their way back to the classroom to collect their backs, minds focused on the final thing that Juyoung had said before disappearing still in tears. It sounded so simple, could just confessing his feelings give him the ability to move on.
"It would be unfair." Miyeon said, as they approached the classroom, slipping inside and pulling their bags over their shoulder and returning to the corridor. "Unfair to Jugyeong for you to confuse her like that. But... if you are wanting to.."
"I think I will." Seojun said, after a pause. "I don't want to like someone who has a boyfriend. I can't do anything for them other than be their friend."
"It's up to you whether you do it or not." Miyeon said softly, pausing by the door of their next lesson. They could already hear the chatter from their classmates and the pair were somewhat hesitant to go in. The Hwang girl's hand hovered by the door handle, looking up at her best friend.
