SAN FERNANDO VALLEY, 1990. — after graduating from nyu, bella landed an fashion internship back in los angeles, prompting her, along with johnny, to move back to the valley. once they arrived in the valley, bella began working as an intern for calvin klein while johnny continued to work in construction, in order to have money for bills and food. with the financial help from bella's parents and laura, the couple got an apartment in van nuys and johnny even enrolled in a community college nearby. now, with the couple working nine-to-five jobs, they often came home tired and hardly spent time together. the couple then made a deal to attempt and go out every weekend ; little did they know that one of these weekends would change everything.
