"IT'S A MILLION DEGREES OUT HERE." bella sighed as she grabbed her hair and pinned it back in a hair clip. "between the hormones and this heat, i'm gonna go crazy."
"and it's supposed to get worse." johnny said as he pushed his glasses back. bella placed her glasses on her face as she sat back on a lawn chair, letting out a frustrated sigh. being that it was her day off, bella decided to head to encino and accompanied johnny as he did some yard work. "go back inside, i'll be there in a few."
"i'll be fine, besides vitamin d is healthy for the baby." bella smiled as she leaned back on the lawn chair.
"yeah it's healthy, but it's also scorching hot." johnny said as he stood in front of bella, who was eating a bowl of cherries. "it's fucking hot out here, go inside where there's air conditioning."
"i'm gonna stay out here, john. chill out." bella chuckled as she placed the small bowl of cherries on her lap.
"alright." johnny sighed as he teasingly ate the cherry that bella was holding, bella rolling her eyes as she threw the stem to the side. "you're so stubborn sometimes, isabella."
"so i've been told." bella sighed as she continued eating cherries. "but then again, so are you."
"if it's a girl, it's gonna come out stubborn, just like her mother." johnny laughed as he placed a small kiss on bella's forehead.
"and her father. you're pretty hard-headed too." bella laughed as she leaned sat back into the lawn chair. "but if it's a boy, he's gonna be hot-tempered, just like his father."
"and his mother." johnny laughed. "remember the kiddo's a combination of both of us, we're both stubborn with a temper."
after finishing with the lawn, the couple went inside to have lunch with laura. during the past couple of days, bella's felt the baby move a little bit more that usual, but the baby hadn't really kicked yet. both bella and johnny were looking forward to that moment, but for now, they only felt small movements.
"you're glowing, honey." laura smiled as she placed her hand on bella's baby bump. "how're you feeling? has the baby kicked yet?"
"not yet, but it's been moving a lot." bella laughed as she sat down on the sofa. "doc said i'm due around february, but i'm supposed to go in for a checkup in two weeks."
"i totally understand, when i was pregnant with this one, he was an active baby." laura smiled, placing her hands on johnny's shoulders, as he was smiling. "so, is it a granddaughter or a grandson?"
