varrick no! pt1

This is set when korra was around 17

Varrick called all of team avatar over to show them his new invention. He needed all of them over for some reason.

When they made their way over they sat down and waited for the man to say why they where there.

He smiled and announced his new creation. "I have created a substance that I believe only the avatar can smell!"

Asami looked confused and asked "why would only korra be able to smell it?"

Varrick started going on about the spirit vines and how they found it while running basic tests on them.

But all korra could focus on was what looked like green leaves on the plate. It smelt just so good that she just had to get closer.

She got inches away and took a good whiff. Almost instantly her pupils became the size of dinner plates.

Varrick said that nearby spirits became loopy after having some almost like catnip. He stopped mid sentence when he saw korra drooling next to the plate.

Before anyone could say anything she dig her face in and started to eat it. Asami grabbed her and tried to hold her back. But korra was to strong and in seconds she ate all of it.

Mako picked her up and held her long enough for her to start to calm down. He set her back down and looked at her eyes. Her pupils were so large that the blue of her eyes was gone.

They were on their way out when varrick started apologizing for putting it so close to korra's face. They left without a word and got in Asami's car.

The entire ride korra was messing around with things and flopping around. They thought nothing of it and made their way to air temple island.

Before they walked inside bolin told them the time he accidentally gave pabu some catnip and he was all floppy. Then mako remembered what varrick said about it being almost like catnip to the spirits around them.

And because korra and a spiritual bridge it might be working like that for her. They had a feeling Tenzin wasn't going to like seeing her like that so they snuck through the back.

When they got to korra's room they set her down on her bed and started thinking of ways to turn her back. They would talk about little ideas and came up with a plan.

When pabu got into it bolin just had to watch him and wait it out. So that's what they planned to do. They didn't know how long it would last but they hoped Tenzin or pema wouldn't come to check in.

When they looked up they saw that korra was gone. They looked everywhere and panicked until bolin said "found her!"

She was under her bed holding onto the planks keeping the bed up. That's how they didn't see her on the floor.

But before they could enjoy their victory pema walked in.
