*Colson pov*
"babe i don't-" Phoenix mumbled and then dropped. "holy shit" i said and got down on my knees next to her. "Phoenix, Phoenix wake up" i said shaking her. "someone call an ambulance!" i yelled and i saw Rook grab his phone and start typing the number into his phone. "hello my friend just passed out in the floor." "yes she's 24 about 5'6" "no allergies" "thank you" i heard him talking to the dispatcher. "they will be here in five" he told me and i nodded. "what the fuck happened?" Slim asked. "bro i don't know she just dropped" i said. "what if it has something to do with her back?" Rook asked. "i don't know" i said running my hand through my hair. "they are here" Cassie said. "okay let them in" i told her. she did as i said and they loaded Phoenix onto the gurney and into the ambulance. "can i go with her?" i asked. "yes you can sir" the guy said and i jumped in. * * we've been at this hospital for seven hours now and we haven't heard shit. "bro i'm getting impatient" i said bouncing my leg up and down. "Mr Baker?" a nurse asked walking over to me. "that's me" i said standing up. "Miss Merton is stable. the doctor has more information for you and he's is in her room. if you would like to follow me i can take you to her room." she said. "please" i said and she nodded. i followed her to Phoenixs room and i saw my girl laying there. hooked up to so many machines and wires. she looked pale as hell and like she was barely hanging on. "hello Mr Baker. so i understand you're the closest person to family she has?" he asked. "yes i am. her family isn't around" i told him. "okay. so she had a spinal cord injury in a car crash right months back. well a disk has slipped in her back and partially severed her spinal cord. now we did surgery on her hoping it will correct everything again like the last time but her chances of ever walking again are very slim." he said. "what's the percentage?" i asked. "10%" he said. well fuck. "okay. thank you" i said and he nodded walking away. this is gonna be hell. she's gonna lose her mind. "baby" i heard and i looked over at Phoenix. "hey pretty girl" i said smiling looking at her. "what's my chance of walking again?" she asked. i sighed and sat down in the chair next to the bed. "you really wanna know right now?" i asked. "yes please" she said
*back to Phoenix pov*
i knew he didn't want to tell me. i knew it wasn't gonna be good. but i needed to know. "at least tell me what happened first" i pleaded. "a disk slipped in your back partially severing your spinal cord" he said. "jesus" i said sighing. "please what are my chances?" i asked. "10%" he said. "fuck" i mumbled.
