we took the thirty minute drive to Colsons house and may i say this wasn't a fucking house. it was a goddamn mansion. "holy shit" i said my mouth open in shock. "you get used to it" he said nonchalantly. i just rolled my eyes a little playfully. "you might find a brain back there Merton" he said. "boy i swear" i said glaring at him. he just laughed then got out of the car and grabbed my wheelchair. just thank god there aren't any stairs up to the door. he picked me up and placed me in the chair and grabbed my bag. i wheeled myself up to the door following Colson and he opened it. "hey bitches we are home" he yelled. "aye we finally get to see the girl" someone said. "yes rook" Colson said fake being annoyed with him. "how many people live here?" i asked. "four" he said. "six if you count myself and you" he added. "oh shit" i said softly. i'm not a people person. yes i'm a photographer but i don't like people. "come on you fuck faces come meet her!" he yelled through the house. in the matter of five seconds four more people were in the room we were in. "oooo she's pretty" a little girl said. "thank you" i said to her and she smiled. "okay so this is Rook, Slim, Dub and my daughter Cassie" he said. "hi" i waved slightly to them all. "everyone this is Phoenix" he said. "dude i love her name" Rook said. i laughed a little at him. "thank you" i said and smiled at him. "just know you can do anything you please in this house" Slim said. "thank you" i said. "also we fixed up the down stairs room for you so you don't have to try to get up the stairs" Rook said. "thank you guys" i said. "okay bitches let's make food" Colson said. "i can cook really well i can help if you'd like" i said to him. "if you want to sure" he said and i smiled. i love cooking for other people. "what are we making?" i asked Colson. "steak, mashed potatoes, and some soup" he said.

"dinner is ready" i said and everyone came rushing in the kitchen. "everyone say thank you to Colson and Phoenix" Dub said. "thank you" everyone said in unison. i smiled then they all grabbed plates and bowls and got themselves some food. everyone left the kitchen and i grabbed a plate and bowl but i couldn't reach the stuff very well since i was still in my wheel chair. i reached trying to grab and i just couldn't. "need some help?" a little voice asked. i looked over and saw Cassie. "please" i said to her and she nodded with a smile. "why are you in a wheelchair?" she asked. "i got into a car crash. it broke my back and i was almost paralyzed for the rest of my life. they gave me surgery to make it to where i wasn't and now my legs are very weak so i can't walk yet" i told her while she put some food on my plate. "i'm sorry. i hope you get better. i'm sorry about my dad. he's very forgetful some days" she said. "it's okay. i understand being forgetful" i replied. "want me to take it to the table for you?" she asked. "i think i can manage" i smiled at her. she nodded and walked away back to the table. i grabbed my plate since i didn't want soup right now and wheeled myself to my room and ate. "Phoenix?" someone questioned knocking on my door. "it's open" i said. "hey why didn't you come eat with us?" it was Rook. "didn't want to be in the way" i said. "you're not in the way Phoenix. we welcome you with open arms and you're more than welcome to be with us" he said. "thank you. i'm just not a people person so i just need to warm up" i replied. "i understand. oh Kells said you're a photographer right?" he asked. "yes" i replied. "would you be willing to do a photo shoot for me?" he asked. "of course. but that's a heavy price to pay there Rook" i said smirking. "oh jeez how much we talking?" he asked sighing knowing i'm messing with him. "oh idk about two grand a shot" i said same smirk plastered on my face. "TWO GRAND A SHOT?! COLSON THIS BITCH WILDIN ON ME!!" he yelled. i was laughing so hard it hurt my stomach. "the fuck she do?" Colson asked. "i asked her if she would do a photo shoot for me and this woman really said two grand a shot" Rook told Colson and Colson started laughing his ass off at Rook. "yes Rook i'll do it. no charge" i said laughing. "fuck yes. but i'm paying you" he said. "no" "yes" "no" "yes" "no" "yes end of discussion" "fuck you fine"

"Phoenix can you do the shoot today?" Rook asked walking into my room. i've been with them for a week now and it's quite entertaining. they are a bunch of idiots. "yes" i replied to him. "sweet" he said then walked out. i've been back at work lately and doing a few shoots for some celebrities here and there. it's hard because i can't drive myself but i'm slowly getting stronger and able to take a few steps before dropping back to my chair again. "where are we going for Rooks shoot?" Colson asked walking into my room. i leave my door open so they know they can come in. when it's closed they know to knock. "he just wants it out in the city so not far" i said and he nodded. "need any help with this stuff?" he asked pointing to my mess on my bed of papers, photos and my camera equipment. "if you wouldn't mind. can you just match up the photos with the persons papers and then throw them in a folder please" i said and he nodded. he sat down on my bed and started going through all the papers and throwing shit where it needed to be. "aye you ready?" Rook asked. "yep let's go" i said sliding into my chair grabbing my camera. i rolled myself out to the car with Rook and Colson.

"and we are done" i said putting my camera down. "thank you again Phoenix" Rook said hugging me. "no problem" i said. "here" he said pulling out his wallet. "no Rook you aren't paying me. you guys are letting me live in your house rest free and giving me help with everything" i told him. "jesus woman fine" he said putting his wallet back in his pocket.
