it's been interesting being with them that's for sure. i've been with them for two weeks now and it's wild. "Phoenix can we watch a movie?" Cassie asked coming into my room. "sure. wanna watch in here or in the living room?" i asked. "here if that's okay" she said. "of course come on" i said patting the bed beside me. she jumped up on my bed and turned on the tv. "so what we watching?" i asked her. "how about 8 Mile to make dad mad" she said smiling devilishly. "sounds good" i said smirking. we turned on the movie and started watching it. thirty minutes in Colson walked in. "what y'all- what the fuck are you guys watching?" he asked getting irritated. "8 Mile" i said smirking. he turned around and walked out mumbling. the only part i got was "ungrateful assholes and Cassie is lucky she's cute" i looked at Cassie and she started laughing. we were both dying laughing for about five minutes. we composed ourselves and continued watching the movie. "lunch is ready, also what did you do to piss off Kells?" Rook asked peaking his head into my room. "come look at the movie we are watching and you'll know" i said smirking. he walked into my room farther and looked at the tv. "oh y'all are gonna die" he said laughing. "eh we will live i think" i said and he just laughed and walked out. we paused the movie and i got into my wheelchair and rolled myself out to the kitchen. "still mad at us?" i asked Colson. "meh" he said with a small glare. "oh shut it Baker you'll live. plus it's a good movie" i said smiling. "she gonna die" Slim said. Colson just glared at me and it was fucking hilarious.

"okay ready, one, two, three" the lady said as i stood up from my chair. she stood behind me making sure i didn't fall and i started walking. we made it around the whole room twice before i had to sit down. "yes you did it" she said smiling at me like a proud mom. "thank you" i said smiling at her. "honey it's all you. you did it. now get home and show your friends" she said. "yes ma'am" i said. i grabbed my things and rolled out of the rehab center. i got out to the car and stood up. i put my wheelchair in the back seat and got into the car. i've been hiding the fact of even the little i can walk because i wanted to show them when i could really do it. i started up the car and took the twenty minute drive back to the house. i got to the house and called Rook to help me even though i didn't need it now but they can't know till i get inside. "how'd it go?" he asked. "okay i guess" i said sighing. "well let's get you in the house" he said. i nodded then rolled myself up to the house and in the door. "hey guys come here please" i said and everyone came over to me. "okay stand to the side" i said and they did as i asked. "what are you doing?" Colson asked. "this" i said getting up and walking to the kitchen from the front door and back with no issues. "what the fuck! holy shit!" Colson yelled then ran up to me and hugged me. "i can walk. not a lot without stopping but i can" i said smiling. "so fuck the wheelchair" i added. "hell yes" everyone said.

"miss Merton i have a Colson Baker here to see you" the receptionist said to me through the phone. "send him up" i said. a minute later the door opened and Colson walked in. "hey i got you some lunch" he said hanging me a bag of food. "thank you" i said smiling. "any good shoots today?" he asked. "why don't we came in and we did a shoot with them and that's all for the day. i'm just going through emails and responding to clients" i said. "soooo can i book an appointment right now?" he asked. "sure where and what?" i asked. "not sure. you're the photographer so you give me an idea" he said. "alright let's go" i said. i grabbed my phone, camera, bag and keys and walked out the door Colson following behind me. "here take this shit" i said handing him clothes form the dressing room. "yes ma'am" he said saluting me. "just go put it on" i said laughing. he put on the outfit and came back out. "damn i'm good with clothing. okay let's go" i said and we walked out to my car.

"okay so go on the edge and hang onto the rail and walk sideways with your arm fully extended" i said and he did as told. "and we got it" i said after i took the photos. "you're amazing" he said with a smile. "i know i know" i replied looking at the pictures on my camera. "alright let's got home and start cooking" he said and i nodded. we got into my car then we started the drive to the house blasting music and screaming lyrics. "you should be on one of my songs" he said. "i'll pass i think. we will see" i said smiling. "i'll take that over a flat out no" he replied while going on his phone. it really sucked because i was catching feelings for him. hard too. he's a nice guy, odd sense of humor, his kid is amazing, his friends are amazing, and just everything about him in my eyes is amazing. "you good?" he asked. "yea. just thinking about work" i said and he nodded. yes i'm driving and zoning out. prolly not the best but i'm not so out to where i don't know what's going on. "we are home" i said pulling into the driveway. "what you want for dinner?" he asked. "how about we make stew" i said and he nodded in agreement.

"dinner is done" i said and everyone ran into the kitchen. "again everyone thank Colson and Phoenix for this dinner" Slim said. everyone said thank you and got themselves some food. "need some help Cassie?" i asked since it looked like she was struggling. "please" she begged. "here i got you" i said handing her my bowl of stew and she smiled. "thank you" she said and walked off. i filled up the bowl she had and walked to the kitchen table. "to freedom and dreams" Colson said holding up his glass. "to freedom and dreams" we all said raising our glasses as well. it was something we did every night at dinner now. "hey can we talk after dinner?" Colson asked next to me.
