it's been two months in this fucking hospital. i'm losing my fucking mind. thankfully i've been able to write songs and Colson has been using them for his new album called Daydreams. it's more of a mellow album and it's way different than his usual stuff. "baby can i have some water?" i asked Colson who was sitting in the chair next to me. "yea of course hold on" he said getting up and walking out of the room. he came back a couple seconds later with two bottles of water and handed me one. "thank you" i said smiling. "you're welcome" he said and sat back down. the chances of me walking aren't getting better and it's fucking with my head. "babe i have a weird request" i said looking at him. "okay and that is?" he asked. "i want a song to myself on your album. that you won't hear or anything till you release it" i said. "okay that's fine by me" he said smiling at me. "thank you so much" i said smiling. "you're welcome crazy" he said laughing at me. "i'm sorry tired of this i wanna go home" i said sighing. "i know" he said smiling sadly at me. "miss Merton you can go home in two weeks" my doctor said stepping into my room. "wait really?" i asked. "yes ma'am" she said and i smiled. "yes!" i yelled and Colson laughed at me. "thank you doctor" i said. she smiled and walked away. "hell yes" i said smiling. "looks like someone's coming home" Colson said smiling at me. i giggled and hugged him as he stepped closer to my bed.

"Phoenix wanna go record that song since Colson isn't here?" Rook asked. "sure" i said. i hoisted myself into my wheel chair and followed Rook to the studio. "okay we have everything set up already all week need us the vocals so let's get this shit done" he said and i smiled. "yessir lets do it" i said. i opened up the door and wheeled myself into the booth. Slim had moved everything down to my level so i could do it right. "here goes nothing" i whispered and started. "fuck restart it" i said. "i got you" Rook said and restarted the track. this is becoming a pain in my ass. "aye just calm down don't let it piss you off" Dub said. "yea yea i know" i mumbled. i started again and i finally got it perfect. "and done" Rook said smiling. "finally i'm so happy it's done" i said. "that man is gonna love this song i swear" Slim said. "i hope so" i smirked. "well his release date is in a week so we got this done just in time" Rook said. "i'm happy we got it down because any later i wouldn't have been able to get it on there" i said. "go get some rest woman. he's gonna be home soon" Rook said and i nodded. "sounds good. see y'all later" i said wheeling myself out of the studio and into my room. i hoisted myself out of my chair and into my bed. my phone started ringing so i picked it up and looked at it. it was a number i didn't know but i answered it anyway. "hello?" "hi is this Phoenix Merton?" "yes who is this?" "i'm Ashley or Halsey as everyone knows me. i was hoping i could book a photo shoot with you some time this week" "of course let me just grab my calendar and look at what i've got" "awesome thank you" "no problem. okay i have Wednesday at 10:30am does that work?" "yes perfect" "alright i'll put you down and i will see you Wednesday" "great thank you so much. have a good day" "you're welcome. thank you you too" well that was surprising. not many know but Halsey and Colson had a thing for a bit while her and G were together. she cheated on him with Colson and there's been beef ever since. but i don't care. wasn't during my time with him and it's not really my business.

we are all eating at the table and Colson keeps looking at me weirdly. "what?" i asked laughing. "nothing you just look different and i can't figure it out" he said. "her eyes changed color Colson" Rook said. my eyes change colors and it's quite odd. they are usually a deep green but they are very bright green right now. "that's what it is" he said laughing. "oh so i got a call today and guess who booked a photo shoot with me" i said looking at Colson. "who?" he asked. "Ashley" i said. "oh sweet baby jesus" he said sighing. "babe you know i don't care. money is money and i'm happy to work with anyone. she is cool" i said. "okay at least you're not gonna go bat shit about it" he said. "nope" i said smiling and we continued eating.
