Chapter 16: The Demon Queen

Casiell and Yael get out of the restaurant and head back to the supermarket where they spot Lucas and Oliver walking out with the groceries.

"You guys got everything?" Yael inquired.

"Yep! Where were you guys at though?" Oliver asked because he had noticed they were gone.

"We met Casiell's childhood friend and he took us for some food but..." Yael explained.

"But?" Asked Lucas.

"But he turned out to be a douche so we left" Casiell finished for Yael with a red face, still a bit embarrassed from what had happened.

"I'll explain, let's get going first" Yael said, beckoning everyone, and they all went home together.

At home Casiell and Yael finally got a chance to be alone.

Casiell sighed and Yael looked up at her from the couch.

"What's wrong?" Yael asked.

Casiell had been feeling weird ever since the incident with the kidnapping and didn't know what to do.

"I'm feeling weird," She finally managed out.

"How so?" He asked.

"Well, ever since the kidnapping… I feel like there's something going on in my… feelings that I don't understand."

"Oh." Yael blushed, knowing what that meant, and also knowing that Caswell was oblivious.

"I just feel abnormal," Caswell went on. "I haven't changed a single time since-"

She stopped and went red.

"Since?"

"Since I met you.." She replied in a tiny voice, flushed.

Yael felt his heart skip a beat. All he could think about was how he wanted to protect the girl in front of him and how he wanted to tell her he feels the same things she does.

Casiell pushed a strand of her hair behind her ear and looked at the floor. What the heck is this why is my heart beating so fast oh my God am I suffering from a disease or something?

Suddenly Casiell had a flashback to something that happened years ago.

"Find someone who'll love you," Said her mom, in her dying breaths.

She jerked herself into reality.

Love.

Find someone who'll love you.

She looked up at Yael, who looked back at her and smiled.

"What?" He laughed, "Why are you staring like that?" His face was red but he tried to hide the fact his heart was about to burst.

"Love," Caswell murmured.

"What?" Yael asked, confused.

The word love made him almost die just there. His heart was pounding.

"Have you ever been in love?"

"So, you're telling me, you got a hold of the half blood but she escaped?" said a cold, malicious voice.

"Unfortunately so, Your Majesty," Spoke the Ghost King.

Across from where he was, sat a tall, lean, and majestic woman. Her presence was heavy, as if she held the weight of the whole world on her palms, with the power to crush it at any moment.
