"What am I supposed to do again?" Oliver whispered as Yael and Casiell pushed him towards Casiell's apartment door.
"All you gotta do is fly in there, grab some of my clothes and then fly out," Casiell instructed Oliver as quietly as possible.
"You think being a ghost is that easy??"
"Just float in through the walls or whatever," Yael shrugged. The three were outside of Casiell's apartment, trying to figure out how to get Oliver in so he could get Casiell's clothes for her. The freaky Greater Spirit had been living in her house for about a two days now and Casiell couldn't just wear Yael's clothes all the time.
"So I'm going to possibly get killed by a Greater Spirit because Casiell's too shy to wear Yael's clothes?" Oliver scoffed.
"I'm wearing his clothes right now!" Casiell argued, pointing to the oversized T-shirt she was wearing.
"And you can't get killed! You're already de-" Yael started.
"Yael!"
"Ah..sorry."
Casiell turned towards Oliver and pouted. "My closet is in my room just on the left side after you get in. Pleaseeee do this for me, please," She said.
Oliver rolled his eyes in defeat.
"Fine, but only because you're Yael's girlfriend," He smirked.
"I'm not his-" Casiell started with a bright red face.
Before she could complete her sentence, Oliver had already gone right through the door.***
Oliver was inside Casiell's apartment. He looked around and saw the Greater Spirit poking at the TV that was still playing on mute. The freak didn't know how to turn on the volume.
Don't tell me he was watching it on mute for two days straight. Can he get any more freakier? Oliver thought, bewildered. He tried to ignore the spirit and floated towards the ceiling to avoid getting caught. He flew into Casiell's room that was directly beside the living room and looked around.
He spotted a white closet in the room.
That must be it, Oliver thought. He opened it and grabbed as many clothes as he could. He looked into the drawers and saw something that made him embarrassed. If he were alive, you could describe him as Tomato red. It was underwear.
He shook his head and quickly grabbed it all and stuffed it in the pile of clothes he was holding.Flustered, he looked around and saw something at the bottom of the closet. He bent down and picked it up to see a picture of Casiell and her family. She looked about 7 years old. She was smiling and holding both of her parent's hands. Her parents had the same blonde hair and golden eyes as her.
Oliver noticed something strange in the photo. Something a bit weird.
In the photo, Casiell had wings.
Oliver's eyes widened in shock.
As he was looking at the photo he heard a crashing sound in the living room and quickly stuffed the photo into his pocket. He quickly maneuverd his way out of the apartment, trying his best to ignore the spirit who was now banging on the TV.
***
Casiell and Yael greeted Oliver with a loud 'yay' as he flew through the door with a pile of clothes in his arms.
"Cas, you might wanna help me a little," Oliver said awkwardly holding the pile.
"Oh thank you so much!" Casiell said reaching out to help Oliver and give him a side hug.
Yael sighed in relief. "You're alive- I mean dead- I mean okay," he said trying to find the right words.
Oliver chuckled and they all went back into Yael's apartment.Later that night, Oliver checked to see if Casiell was asleep and found her snoozing comfortably on Yael's bed.
He floated soundlessly into the living room and sat right beside Yael, who was looking at his phone.
"Yael," Oliver whispered.
"Yeah?" He replied, putting his phone away.
"I found something while I was looking through Casiell's closet."
"Oh, what did you find? I hope it's not something that you shouldn't be looking at."
Oliver snickered, "Ofcourse not you weirdo."
He reached into his pocket and pulled out the photo that he had found earlier.
"Look at this,"Oliver said holding it out for Yael to see.
His eyes widened in shock as he tried to make out what he was seeing.
Casiell...with WINGS?
"This can't be real," Yael said, shaking his head.
"Oh it's definitely real, look at the details of the wings, and the shadows. It's definitely not Photoshop. And this is a Polaroid! You can't Photoshop those, they're taken right in the moment!" Oliver reasoned.
Yael covered his mouth with his hands.
"But....what does that mean...why did she have wings? Where are her wings now?" He murmured.
"I don't know but look at her parents. They have wings too!" Oliver said, pointing at her parents who were standing by Casiell's side.
"If ghosts exist...and Greater Spirits too....then what about...angels?"
"Angels!?"
"What if Casiell's an angel or maybe a bird-human hybrid?"
"I'm thinking she's an angel."
Yael was deep in thought now.
"Wait- that explains the aura around her!" Oliver whisper-shouted in excitement as he uncovered new things, "We thought there was spirit attached to her- what if the spirit is something IN her, like a seed or blood that makes her different!"
"Yeah that makes sense actually," Yael said in agreement as he stroked his chin, "We shouldn't talk to her about this, not until she decides to tell us herself."
Oliver nodded, understanding what he said.
Yael looked at the photo quietly. He saw how happy Casiell was in the photo. Her parents had the same features as her, with the blonde hair and golden eyes. She must miss them a lot, he thought sadly. He was now even more interested in finding out who Casiell really was.
