Casiell wiped her tears away as she tried to tell Yael a bit about her past.
"So then I left my Aunt after graduating high school. I didn't want to burden her any longer. I came here and now I earn what I can through the stories I write," she explained to Yael.
Yael who was still holding her hand was deep in thought.
"Thankyou for telling me all this, I didn't think you'd open up to me about it," he finally replied.
"Honestly...I don't really know, I guess I just want a change... I don't know," Casiell said with a small voice.
"Oh."
"I um haven't had many friends throughout my life so it's hard for me to trust people...but there's just something about you and I don't know what it is."
"Yeah, I feel the same way. My family is well, complicated. My parents have always been really busy with work so I didn't get to spend much time with them throughout my life. I just live alone, and they wouldn't care anyways about where I lived or where I was."
"Oh...Yael-," Casiell started but before she could say anything, Yael quickly got up and said, "Let's go somewhere Cas."
"What? Where? Now?" Casiell asked in confusion.
"Yeah, let's go to the amusement park now."
"oh."
"I want a change in my life, and I think you do too, so how about we go outside and do something different?" Yael said with a smile.
Casiell hesitated at first. Going to such a place meant being around lots of people and having the potential risk of changing. It was something Casiell didn't know if she should do but this time she felt different. She was ready to take risks.
"L-Let's go then!" She said ambitiously.
Yael grinned and they both went to get ready. Little did they know about what was awaiting them.

Casiell's hair brushed her face because of the wind as she stepped through the entrance of the amusement park with Yael. She looked around nervously. There were loads of people walking around, enjoying their day. The weather was especially great as it was windy. Seeing all the people made her nervous. Yael seemed fine.
He must be used to coming to places like these, Casiell thought.
They walked a bit further and stopped at a roller coaster ride.
"Do you want to ride this?" Yael asked.
Despite her shyness and nervous behavior, Casiell was actually a thrill-seeker.
"I would love to!" Casiell beamed.
Yael smiled and got tickets for them to ride it.
They sat on the roller coaster and soon it started to move. Yael's heart was pounding and so was Casiell's, not because of fear, but thrill.
The roller coaster went upwards until it reached the peak and then it slowly started to fall downwards. As it was starting to go down the slope, Casiell grabbed onto Yael's hand and he blushed.
Then the roller coaster sped down at fast speed.
It was an amazing moment which made them forget about all their worries.
The only thing Casiell could think of was how different she felt around Yael. How she started being more open around him. There was one thing about him that made her feel different but she couldn't quite make out what it was.
She smiled and laughed happily as they went down. Yael made a much more terrified face but tried controlling it.
They reached the end and got off.
"That was amazing!" Casiell said happily.
"Y-Yep," Yael replied trying to balance himself.

They both spent most of their time in the amusement park. They went to different rides and got cotton candy and some other snacks. Even though Casiell usually avoided being in public places, she was happy and carefree this time. She wasn't scared about changing or anything. She was simply happy.
Yael felt joyful as well, he hadn't been so happy in a long time. He was glad he came out for some fresh air.
As he was eating some of his cotton candy he felt a tap on his shoulder and turned around already knowing who it might be. Oliver was floating silently behind him and grinned.
"Look who finally got himself a date with Cassy," Oliver said smirking.
Yael blushed but didn't say anything because Casiell was standing right beside him.
"I can't believe you made a girl like her trust you," Oliver continued, "I mean you look like a devil. Literally."
Yael's face became red and he gritted his teeth. Oliver laughed and disappeared.
"Woah Yael, why do you look so....red?" Casiell asked, looking closely at Yael.
"I uhm it's surprisingly hot here, let's walk haha," Yael said trying to hide his embarrassment.
They walked for a bit and talked about what snacks they liked most.
"Oh yeah I LOVE hot cheetos," Yael said hungrily. Casiell giggled.
As they were talking, they heard a rustling sound behind them in the trees. They turned around.
"What was that...?" Casiell asked.
"I don't know, maybe an animal? It's getting late, we should head back home," Yael replied.
They headed back and reached their neighborhood. The amusement park was close to their home so they walked. Casiell felt nervous all the way back because she felt like someone was watching them.
Suddenly, there was a rustling behind them and they looked around.
"Did you hear that?" Casiell asked nervously.
"Yeah," Yael replied, also getting nervous.
"I think someone's following us."
"Why do you think that?"
"Because I have been getting a really strange feeling, as if someone is watching us."
Suddenly they heard a twig snap. Casiell stepped closer to Yael, startled. The bushes behind them started to rustle and they watched in shock as a cloaked figure emerged from them. They stepped backwards, speechless.
The figure moved closer to them and the air around them turned eerie and cold.
"G-Good day sir," Yael stammered plastering a smile across his face trying to hide his nervousness.
The figure slowly reached into his cloak and pulled out a bloodstained knife. Casiell gulped and grabbed Yael's arm.
"Y-Yael," Casiell murmured, wanting to run.
The figure stepped closer with his knife.
"I would NOT use that if I were you-" Yael said but was cut short as the figure lunged forward trying to slash his knife at him.
There was a noise as Oliver appeared and pushed Yael out of the way, and the knife went completely through him instead. Luckily it didn't harm him because he was a ghost.
"RUN!" Oliver yelled at Yael.
Yael grabbed Casiell's arm as she screamed and they ran for their lives.
