"You were the one who scared Casiell yesterday!?" Yael asked, surprised. "Yeah, it was me," Oliver the ghost replied. Oliver had suddenly showed up at his home only to tell him that he was the one who had hid behind Casiell's curtains and scared the living daylights out of her. Yael was confused and bewildered. He didn't think Oliver was the type of ghost who enjoyed terrorizing innocent girls. "Why?" Yael questioned Oliver, who just smirked and said, "Because that was a way for you to offer to 'investigate' her apartment for as long as you need to find the weird energy coming from her house. Only, she thinks you're investigating a ghost." Yael was shocked and excited at the same time. "Oliver you sneaky little ghost!" Yael laughed, covering his face, "You....you're a literal mastermind....I underestimated you."
Oliver shrugged and looked at the clock in the living room. "Isn't it time for you to go to Casiell's place now?" Oliver asked Yael, smirking. "Oh yeah..it is," he answered, looking at the clock and then blushed slightly. "What the hell? Why are you blushing you weirdo??" Oliver laughed. Yael covered his red face and yelled, "I don't know!" falling onto his sofa. "Never seen you this flustered because of a girl," Oliver said, squinting at him. He got up from the sofa in a hurry, grabbed his backpack, and ran out of his apartment, closing the door behind him. Oliver chuckled, "Looks like something is up."

Casiell sat on her sofa nervously. She was expecting Yael to come to her partment at any minute. She was quite nervous because this was their actual first 'hangout'. She had not talked to anyone like this in ages, let alone hung out with them so she was really nervous. So nervous that she practiced welcoming Yael in front of her mirror. She wanted him to stay over for dinner because she had made a lot of food, but she didn't know how to ask him without stuttering nervously. "What should I say to him.....hmm.....would you like to....no......do you want to stay over for-" Casiell practiced as she was interrupted by a sudden knock on the door. She walked to the door and opened it to see Yael standing there nervously. He was wearing dark coloured clothes and had a backpack slung onto his shoulder. "oh...h..hey," Casiell greeted nervously. Great, all that time that she'd spent practicing in front of the mirror went to waste. "Hey, I'm here for our first investigation!" Yael said brightly. "Yeah I'm kind of excited," Casiell told Yael, letting him into the apartment and gesturing for him to sit down on the sofa.
They both sat down onto the sofa and there was a brief silence before Yael started rummaging through his backpack. Casiell watched Yael curiously as he took out items from his backpack and placed them down on the table. "This is an EMF meter which helps you to detect spirits since they emit elctro-megnatic frequencies," Yael said, picking up a black box shaped object. He picked up two thin copper rods with handles and said, "These are spirit rods that are used to communicate with the spirit." "Wow you seem prepared,"Casiell said, staring at the equipment with excitement. Yael grinned and turned on the EMF meter.
He got up from the couch and went to different areas of the room with the EMF meter. Casiell followed him quietly. He went to the corner of the kitchen and the meter spiked up to red. Yael looked around and was startled to see Oliver standing beside him, holding his finger to his lips. Yael nodded slightly, knowing that Oliver was there to make it seem like there was actually a ghost there, and turned to Casiell. "Oh the meter spiked up to red! There must be an Olive- I mean a spirit here!" Yael told her nervously, with a crooked smile.
Casiell giggled, "Olive?" "Yeah I ate way too many olives today haha....but I'm still kinda hungry," Yael said, embarrassed. "Oh that's great because...I made a lot of food today...and I was wondering...i..if you'd like to stay for dinner?" Casiell asked nervously, looking up at Yael. He was shocked that Casiell actually asked him to stay for dinner later because she had seemed like a really shy and 'reluctant to make friends' kind of person. Seems like he might have been wrong. Happy that she offered, Yael beamed and said,"Really? That would be awesome, thankyou!" "N...no problem" Casiell said, with a shy smile.
They continued investigating for a while and got a lot of response from the 'ghost' in Casiell's house who was actually just Oliver pretending. The meter would spike up to red wherever Oliver was and Yael also used the spirit rods to talk to him. They would ask a question and Oliver would move the rods to make them cross or move apart for 'yes' or 'no'. Most of the time was spent asking Oliver questions. Casiell was surprised that the ghost actually responded. After a few questions, Oliver disappeared so there was no more ghost activity and Casiell decided to prepare dinner.
She went into the kitchen and prepared dinner while Yael waited in the living room. Oliver appeared out of nowhere and tapped Yael on the shoulder, almost scaring him to death. Oliver giggled and said, "Good thing you only asked five questions or else there wouldn't be any left for tomorrow." "Good thing you left so we didn't have to finish all the investigation today," Yael whispered. Oliver nodded and then remembered, "Oh yeah! Remember the weird energy here that we talked about before?" "Yeah?" Yael said, kind of knowing what Oliver was about to say. "It's coming from her," Oliver whispered even though nobody else could hear him.
Yael nodded, "I felt it too." "I think there's a spirit attached to her," Oliver guessed. Yael stroked his chin, deep in thought. "I need to investigate this 'energy' coming from her," Yael said quietly. As he was thinking, Casiell called out from the kitchen, "Dinner's ready!" Yael got up and went into the kitchen, greeted by the amazing smell of food. "Mmm..smells so good!" Yael said excitedly. He looked around and saw chicken fried rice, vegetable salad, chicken curry, plain rice, beef steak, cake for desert, and a variety of drinks. He gaped at all the food, wanting to eat it all. "This is amazing....wow," Yael said in awe.
They sat down on the dinner table, and started to eat. "Thank you for this, the food looks amazing," Yael complimented Casiell as he helped himself to some steak and rice. She blushed, being complimented feels really nice, she thought. "Thanks, try the curry," she smiled, offering him the curry bowl. He thanked her, taking it gladly and pouring some on his rice. "I think the spirit might be attached to you," Yael said out of the blue. Casiell stopped eating and stared at him. She started sweating a bit and gripped her spoon harder. What if the spirit he's talking about or feeling is actually her curse? What if he finds out that she's not human, but a monster? What if he never talks to her again after that or worse, calls her a freak?
Casiell shook the thoughts away and forced a reply. "Oh," She said, nervously thinking about her curse. "Don't worry Cas, it's probably nothing harmful, you'll be fine as long as I'm here," Yael assured her. He realized he just called her Cas and blushed. "Can I call you Cas?" He asked. "Y..yeah," She said, turning a bit red,"And I hope I'll be fine haha." "The food is amazing!" Yael beamed as he munched away. Casiell smiled, glad that he liked it. "Is this what it feels like to have a wife?" Yael murmured, so quietly that Casiell almost didn't hear it. Her eyes grew wide as she stopped chewing her food and stared at Yael with a face as red as a tomatoe. Yael realized that he had said that out loud and turned bright red. "uhh...uhhh...y...you know cuz' she'll make me yummy food.....and...this felt like...." He spoke, flustered. "I..it's fine," Casiell stuttered, flustered as well.
Oliver stood in the corner watching everything and snickered. "These guys are a complete mess," He laughed.
