Cronus
"There's something going on here," the music, the way it reverberates through my head. Maybe I just haven't been around the living enough. But I don't think so.
"Pretty sure it's just a rave," Gia says.
"Yeah maybe. What about these. Do you like any of these bodies?"
"Oh my god please forget I said that," she laughs, leaning against me. I wrap my arm around her. Is she drunk? She wasn't in the car. But she's leaning rather heavily on my shoulder.
"Let's just find the kid. Do you know what she was wearing?"
"Not a lot, come on why don't you have a drink and relax?"
"What?" she's definitely slurring her words. And she was not drunk the car. And we needless to say haven't had anything to drink since we got here.
"Just relax. It's a party isn't it?"
"No, it's not. It's one of them," fuck but I can't leave without her kid, "Don't drink anything or eat anything okay? Hold my arm."
"Why're you freaking out?"
"'Cause I always freak out."
