Dean
"Honey what are you doing here?"
"I don't feel like being at school," I say, realizing tears are running down my face, as I walk into my mom's office at the University.
"Did you walk all the way here?"
"No, Detective Stamos drove me. I just couldn't stay," I say, wiping my face with the back of my hand.
"What's wrong?" she asks, hugging me.
"Nothing that won't be solved by sitting on the couch watching Gilmore Girls all night, please just stay with me all night?" because if I'm alone they could come. If I'm alone I don't trust myself not to call them, not to wish it into being. So long as I'm with her everything will be fine. No one will get hurt.
"Of course," she says, hugging me tightly, "Nothing serious happened though?"
"No, no I'm just down, can I sit here until your class is over?" scrubbing my face again with the back of my hand.
"Of course, are you sure you're okay? Did you eat lunch?" she asks, petting my hair.
"No, no I'm fine. I'm fine," I lie.
