Retracing Jace's steps was surprisingly easy. I was able to pull the gps info from my mom's car which he borrowed last night, then follow the very obvious trail of blood, through the woods.

Yep, somebody definitely got stabbed here. I take a picture then kneel down in the leaf litter. The blood is dried a bit, but it's also, thick, and greenish brown not red. That is not what happens to blood as it dries. So this isn't blood? What is it then?

"Hello, sis."

I stand up quickly, my hand on my .38 in my back holster. A man is standing there, a rather unkept looking man in jeans and a faded flannel shirt. He's walking a large Bernese mountain dog on a thick rope lead.

"Who are you?" I ask, taking a step back.

"My name's Rhea. I'm pretty sure your dad, whatever he's calling himself lately ---usually Jace----has mentioned me. He probably didn't call me by name, just said I'm the stupidest  most moronic, completely brainless thing on the planet or something to that affect?" he asks, raising his eyebrows. He has absurdly blue eyes that don't seem to belong in his weathered face. There's a note of kindness in the face though, of something that's been beaten so much it doesn't know how to raise it's hand to stop a blow anymore.

"Yeah, he has," I frown, he looks the same age as Jace, "So who are you?"

"His kid, and consort for a period, you're my half sister. I'd highly recommend you get yourself out of here for the time being. He's not known for non-violence," he says. He looks the same basic age as Jace, which is probably late forties, and definitely nothing like me. Or Jace for that matter.

"Is that a threat?" I ask.

"No, it's advice; that's it. I'm far from a danger to you, love, he stripped me of my abilities when he cast me out," he says, shaking his head.

"Then what happened here?" I ask.

"Nothing good, go on home to your mum, but get out of Winfell, it's gonna be a long night," he says, taking a step back. "Take care of yourself, yeah?"

"Is that your real name? Is Jace his real name---I want to know what is going on," I say, but I don't move after him. I need to find Thyme. Now.

"No, but it's what we usually are called. Our real names wouldn't mean anything to you, nor have they meant anything to us for a long time. Be careful out there, love." And then he and the dog do go.

I shake my head. Thyme needs to explain if he was the one who stabbed Jace. And I want to get to the bottom of this. My mom knows the truth I'm sure but she's not about to tell me. Fine. I'll find out myself.
