24|in the end
"Huh, cute." Lillian commented as she walked past Annie and Armin sat beside each other. She stretched her limbs, trying to stop her legs for shaking as she got some fresh air.
"You okay?" Hange joined her at the bow of the ship. "Are you cold?"
"Levi has his strength somewhat back." She commented, hinting at what she had just done.
"No wonder you're pregnant." The Commander shivered in disgust, leaning on the railings. "You think it's a girl?"
"I hope it is but whatever my little bundle is I'll be happy." Lilly rubbed her stomach. "It's been about two months and I can still feel them. They are still there."
"I'm so happy for you." Hange embraced the woman before going serious. "And for that, I can't allow you to continue with this mission. One of us need to live and remember everyone, everything."
"We will all live." The doctor grabbed her hands and reassured her, tears in her eyes. "I don't want to lose the rest of my family."
"I know." They embraced again before Hange led her down to Yelenas room to find out where Eren is.
"That will likely be Eren's second target for attack." Yelena stated after explaining what Eren had told her. Lillian sat at the foot of the bed, keeping an eye on Levi who sat on the chair next to her.
"Fort Salta." Pieck confirmed, realising where Yelena was referring to. "Right. If he knows about the existence of a weapon that has a chance, however small, of successfully attacking the Founding Titan."
"It's where he'll go after Port Acirfa." The feverish woman continued, agreeing with the Titan shifter. "To destroy the flying boats."
"You're awfully willing to provide answers." Levi spoke up, glaring at the woman with his good eye.
"I have a request for you." Yelena revealed. "Zeke was defeated but he was right. His euthanisation plan was the only way to solve the two thousand year old Eldian problem. Isn't that obvious from the wretched state of things now?"
"Sure, I'll admit it." Hange sighed, glancing down grimly. "That Eren had no solutions, no hope, and no future for us. And that I'm powerless."

"Hange! We'll be preparing to take off in an hour! Got it?" Someone yelled out, preparing the soldiers as they checked their gear.
"You heard them. Everyone start inspecting your equipment!" Hange ordered. Everyone, including Lillian checked their gear.
Levi flipped his sword using his remaining two fingers to see if he could use the ODM gear.
"Two fingers is all I need. It's fine." He reassured them, seeing their worried and sympathetic looks.
"Levi." Lillian hummed, cupping his face. "Please don't go."
"Lils." He sighed, pulling her close as she hugged his injured head. "You know I have to."
"I love you and hate you at the same time." She chuckled sadly, playing with his ebony hair. They quickly waved at Annie as she left before the doctor went back to holding her husband.
"I love you too." Levi pulled her down so she was kneeling in front of him.
"Pieck." Hange called out the woman's name, next to the couple so they ended up eavesdropping. "In that case, I'll gladly ride on the Cart Titan's back and feel the heat of its body as we-"
"Stop." Pieck cut the woman off. "Why are you so creepy all of a sudden?"
"So, Four Eyes. Yet another love for a Titan gone unrequited, I see." Levi teased her, the old nickname making the three smile to themselves.
"We'll be friendly in no time." Hange said with a hopeful voice. "Hey, Levi. Do you think they're all watching us? Will we be able to stand tall among all our dead comrades?"
"Don't you start talking like him too." Explosions rang out from behind them where the flying boat was being prepared. Levi pulled Lillian behind him as everyone dived forwards, investigating the threat.
"I hated him." Lilly sighed loudly and chuckled as Levi placed his hand on her stomach. A loud noise echoed around them, the familiar sight of smoke coming closer.
"It's here. The rumbling is here."
"What did you do?" Lillian questioned as Hange grimly walked over to them after talking with the cadets. "What are you about to do?"
"Hey, Four Eyes." Levi stopped the Commander.
"You understand. It's finally here, you know?" Hange said with confidence as she spoke to the pair. "It's my turn. I want to look as cool as I possibly can right now. So just let me go, will you?"
Levi exhaled sharply before placing his fist on her chest. "Devote your heart."
"That's the first time I've ever heard you say that." She laughed before running towards the Titans.
"I love you." Lillian kissed her husband's lips and whispered something in the his ear. His eyes widened at her words, nodding in understanding as she saluted the soldiers and ran after her sister. Wanting to protect her family.
The cloud consumed her, the heat burning her skin as she killed any Titan that came near her. She reached for Hange, trying to catch the woman as she fell, eyes closed and body limp.
