Compromise 🙂

"Oh, my, goodness! You are... You are Jeon Jungkook! " Lisa squealed. "Jisoo, it's Jeon Jungkook!"

Hands on the hips, Jisoo rolled her eyes, "No wonder!" Jisoo's dislike towards this man was growing by the minute. "He is a celebrity! So that's why he feels entitled to shout at anybody he wants to! You know what, you can have the  cabin, we'll leave! " Jisoo sneered. She stormed inside, slammed the bedroom door and laid down on the bed, staring at the ceiling.

Lisa looked at Jisoo in surprise as she stormed away, she had never seen her loose her cool like that, never! She knew Jisoo's bottled up stress from the last three weeks needed an outlet somewhere and maybe, whatever this was, was a good thing. She wanted Jisoo to let go, to get rid of some of the stuff she's been keeping inside and even though they made a deal to relax and forget, until they had to go back, Lisa knew this was the better outcome.

Jungkook took a couple of deep breaths. What has gotten into him? He ran his finger through his dark hair, grabbing the hold of veranda railing and looked out over the mountains that lay in front of him, solid as God himself. He knew he had to get away from all the publicity and having every single move he made scrutinized, but he didn't realize how badly until this very moment. Oh God, please help me! He closed his eyes, trying to calm himself, and the image of Jisoo with her long black hair and fiery eyes came in vision. Nobody has ever acted like that towards him, especially women. But somehow, he found that thinking about her reaction, calmed him.

Lisa and Jungkook turned to face one another. "I'm sorry." They said at the same time.

Jungkook could see in Lisa's facial expression that the whole I-met-a-celebrity moment was over. It seemed that her friend reaction before was quite a shock to her.

"I know what I'm apologizing for, I completely over reacted, but I'm not sure why you are sorry!" Jungkook said looking at Lisa with a frown.

"My friend, she's just very stressed at the moment. I've never seen her act like that!" Lisa said folding her arms in front of her chest and staring absent minded at Jungkook. "She's always so in control of everything, it's just strange to see her lose it like that."

"I suppose we all have our moments, but hers was only a reaction to my overreaction. I'm completely to blame here."

"Maybe you should tell her that." Lisa indicated with her head towards the cabin.

Jisoo sat up on the bed and crossed her legs. She really wanted to stay here at this cabin. There was something about this place that made her feel safe, that made her feel what she had to face these next couple of months, would be okay. The idea of having to leave only a couple of hours after arriving, didn't sit well with her.

There was a knock at the door and Jisoo thought Lisa's timing was perfect. She wanted to stay here and she didn't care who or what Jeon Jungkook was, they were here first. Jisoo got up from the bed and opened the door, "Lisa, I hope that arrogant... Oh, It's you." Jungkook was standing in front of her. She turned around and walked to the window.

Jungkook's heart beat a little faster when she opened the door. The fire was still in her eyes. "I came to apologize. " Jungkook said leaning against the door frame.

Jisoo looked at him over her shoulder for a moment then turned back to the window. When she didn't say anything, Jungkook continued "I was rude and I.... overreacted." Jisoo still didn't say anything.

"Accept the man's apology, Jisoo." Lisa said coming into the room. "He was probably trying to get away from people, and here we are, 'people'." Lisa sat down on the bed, leaning back on her one hand.

Of course, Lisa would react like this, Jisoo thought. She was feeling annoyed with Lisa for not seeing how, how arrogant and, self-righteous and rude this man was. Jisoo looked at Jungkook. Maybe of she accepted his apology, he would leave. He was starting to make her feel uncomfortable, almost nervous.

Jungkook saw the hesitation in Jisoo's eyes. He took a step into the room and said, "I'm truly sorry. And what your friend said is partly true, I needed to get away from certain people."

Jisoo still did not say word. They just kept on looking at each other and in turn Lisa was watching the two of them. Deciding to break the silence, she said "She accepted your apology and she is apologizing as well." Lisa stood up and continued, "So, now that your first fight is out of the way," Jisoo's eyes widen in shock, "how about some introductions. I'm Lisa." She held her hand, Jungkook took it. "This is Jisoo and you are Jungkook or is Jungkook is a stage name?"

"No, it's Jungkook. Nice to meet you, Lisa, and you, Jisoo." Jungkook held out his hand and without saying a word, Jisoo shook it.

A slight tingling went down Jisoo's spine and she pulled away quickly. It didn't go unnoticed. Lisa quickly covered her mouth with her hand to hide her smile.

"Well, seems like it was an honest miscommunication between," Jungkook looked at the ad that was still in his hand, "Suhyun and Hyun-shuk regarding the booking. But you guys can stay. I'll find another place. Sorry again." He nodded towards Lisa, gave Jisoo a lingering look and walked out the room.

"Wait!" Lisa shouted.

Jisoo looked at Lisa, "What are you doing? I doubt that he will give you an autograph after this fiasco."

Jungkook was already half the way to the door. He stopped and turned around.

Lisa walked towards him, "It's getting late and I doubt that anything will be open this late on a Sunday in these parts. Why don't you stay the night and..."

Jisoo interrupted Lisa, "What! No! He can't stay here!" What was Lisa thinking! That's just it, she wasn't thinking!

"As I was saying," Lisa ignored her friend, "Stay the night and look for another place tomorrow morning. In any case, not many people can say they shared a secluded cabin with the world-famous Jeon Jungkook!" Lisa winked at Jungkook.

Jungkook could see that she was only playing with the last comment and smiled. "Thank you, Lisa. I appreciate the offer," He really didn't want to go back to the town tonight, "but I'll only accept if Jisoo is also okay with it." He waited for Jisoo to say something, but all she did was look at him with her deep black color eyes. He could see specks of brown in them.

Eventually Jisoo agreed and Jungkook left to fetch his stuff from the car.

"What do you think you're doing? We don't know this guy!" Jisoo said. "All we know about him is how quickly he can lose his temper."

"Relax will you! He is a nice guy and he did apologize. I like him. And you never know, I saw the sparks flying between the two of you. No denying that chemistry..." Lisa looked like a naughty school girl, tilting her head to the side and giving Jisoo a very meaningful smile.

"Don't be ridiculous! What you saw was...." but Jisoo couldn't finish her sentence, Jungkook came back in. This was going to be the longest night of her life!
