Back at the cabin they stood on the veranda, water streaming down their bodies, but they didn't care. The only thing that was real was how they felt in that moment. Jungkook took off his wet T-shirt, throwing it on the floor and then gently pulled Jisoo's jersey over her head. Her shirt was clinging to her wet body and Jungkook was filled with desire for her. He kissed her and time stood still. She shivered, Jungkook could feel every movement of her body touching his and held her closer. He wanted her, with his whole being he wanted her, but he knew it wasn't the right time..... Be patient, in My time, not yours.
"Maybe we should get into dry clothes," Jungkook whispered in Jisoo's ears and they went inside. Jisoo went to take a bath to warm herself and Jungkook stoke the fire again after getting into some dry clothes himself. Jisoo kept on thinking that what just happened wasn't real and that anytime now she'll awake from this beautiful dream. She looked at herself in the mirror hanging on her bedroom wall and touched her lips with her fingers. She could still feel his lips on hers. Her heart started racing but she didn't want to get too excited. She had to talk to him, tell him that she understood if he had second thoughts, that he didn't realize what he was saying and that she won't hold it against him if he wanted to walk away now. Him kissing her, loving her, it didn't just feel like a dream, it was a dream.
Jungkook wasn't there when she came into the living area. She sat down on the couch by the fire. The page with 'Jisoo's song' was still lying there, she picked it up and fought against the emotion welling up inside of her.
Jungkook came walking out of his bedroom, saw her and smiled. He sat down next to her, wanting to pull her close but Jisoo resisted, "Jungkook wait. I, I think we need to talk." Jisoo sat up a little straighter and turned to Jungkook. With one leg crossed in front of her on the couch and her other foot on the floor, she tried to talk, "I don't think you understand the situation. This, us, it's a wonderful dream, but...."
Jungkook didn't allow Jisoo to finish her sentence, he placed his index finger on her lips and said, "No Jisoo, you don't understand the situation." His hand hurled around the back of her neck and he placed his forehead onto hers, "Yes, I know it won't be easy. Yes, I know there is still a lot that we have to figure out and I realize I don't even know what illness you have and tomorrow, you can tell me everything. But here's the situation," He gently kissed her and with his lips still touching hers, he said "I love you, and I want to live in this moment that we have now."
His hand slit down her back, he pressed her closer to him and this time there was no denying the passion in his kiss. Jisoo's heart sang, and the song was so loud that it flushed out the voice of doubt in her head. She threw her arms around his neck, she wanted him to kiss her, she wanted to feel his arms around her, and she wanted to hear the words over and over again that he love her. Even if it was only till tomorrow, she will drink in every moment with him. Because for today she wanted to live the dream, for today she may love him back. He gently laid her down on the couch and pressed his body against hers.
When Jungkook eventually lifted his mouth from hers, she opened her eyes, looked at him and said, her voice filled with emotion, "I love you too." Outside the rain continued to paint a deary picture. The hidden sun was starting to go to bed and all the stars in the night sky could only be seen in the two people's eyes inside the cabin.
Be patient, in My time, not yours......
Jungkook sighed, although he yearned to make her completely his, he knew it was not a good time yet. He got up and pulled Jisoo to her feet. He gave her a kiss and then said, "Suppose we have to make something to eat." He wiped her hair out of her neck and kissed it.
Breathing deeply, Jisoo felt her whole body come alive. She loved him with everything inside her and she knew he felt the same. There were no lies in his words, his every touch was saying it's true. "Suppose we have to eat, yes." Jisoo responded automatically, like someone responding to the question, 'How are you' and you answer with an 'and you' at the end.
Reluctantly Jungkook let go of Jisoo. They made dinner and afterwards Jisoo asked Jungkook to get his guitar and sing her something.
Jisoo sat listening, allowing every word to wash over her like a cool breeze on a hot summer days. "I didn't tell you before but I didn't recognize you the moment I saw you that first day on the veranda," She said when he finished the last song, "I'm actually a big fan." She smiled.
"You're making me blush," Jungkook joked and gave her a peck on the lips, "But seeing that you're such a big fan, how about a free backstage pass to all my concerts?" He leaned towards her and kissed her forehead. "Of course, it'll cost you!" He kissed her cheek.
"And what will your price be?" Jisoo asked, Jungkook kissed her other cheek.
"A kiss between each set," Jungkook said and then kissed her on the mouth, "I never want to stop kissing you."
Jisoo too never wanted Jungkook to stop kissing her, she wanted this night to last forever. She had to fight against the feeling of dread that tomorrow held, because she knew, as sure as the sun will rise, tomorrow will bring a lot of headache with it.
They laid on the couch talking for a bit and after a while there was silence. Wrapped up under a warm blanket, with only the sound of the rain in the background, Jungkook and Jisoo fell asleep in each other's arms.
