'The sound of the mountain' Jungkook thought and moved his fingertips over the strings of his guitar.

Jisoo watched him. His hands glided over his guitar, his fingers finding each chord with the greatest of ease. Each chord that seemed detached from the next at first, started to flow together, creating a beautiful melody. If it was possible, she would've believed that he was born with a guitar on his lap.

Against every fiber of her being, Jisoo broke the silence first, "How old were you when you started playing?" She knew his music quite well, even owned couple of his CD's, but she wasn't ready to tell him that.

"I was four when my mom bought me my first guitar. Wasn't interested in it at all, rather wanted to go fishing with the fishing rod my grandpa gave me." He continued playing.

"Really!" Jisoo said in surprise.

"Yes, I started playing it when I was seven."

"What made you switch? From fishing to guitar?" Jisoo sat up a little straighter.

"Actually, it was because of fishing that I started playing." He stopped playing for a moment. "Wanted something to do while waiting for the fish to bite and the guitar seemed like a good option, seeing that I already had one." It was nice having a normal conversation at last, just the two of them. "Have you ever played?"

"Oh no, never had time. At school academics always came first and after my studies it was work, work, work, climbing the corporate ladder." Jisoo stared into the night. That part of her life seemed so far away now. The thought of ever going back felt so farfetched, she didn't think she would ever go back.

"I can't imagine you as the corporate type. You seem to be at ease here in the middle of nowhere for a city girl."

She looked at him, her mind going back to the afternoon, three weeks ago, and she started to lose control again, this time over her emotions, "Sometimes things happen that make you realize what is important in life." Jisoo turned her head away from him and closed her eyes, trying to hold back her tears.

Jungkook saw the emotion on Jisoo's face. Putting his guitar down, he got up and sat down next to her. Without saying a word, he pulled her close and just held her. Jisoo didn't resist, she laid down her head on his chest and for the first time in almost 14 years she allowed herself to cry.

All the emotion and all the stress she kept bottled inside came to the surface. She couldn't keep it in anymore, she had to let go. She cried about her parents, about losing herself in a world she never wanted. She cried about a life wasted on chasing after a job title that means absolutely nothing to her now. She cried about a future she will never have because of three little words.

Jungkook didn't let her go, he didn't want to let her go. Holding her in his arms made him feel something he had never felt before. He wanted to hold her for the rest of his life! In that moment he knew, he felt something for her and it was more than just liking her! His eyes took in her beautiful face, the tears running so freely. A strand of hair clung to her wet cheek and he gently wiped it aside. He wished he knew what was going on inside her mind, inside her heart and pulled her in closer in his embrace. 'Lord,' he prayed silently, 'If she is the one you have chosen for me, do not let us part ways tomorrow.'

How long they stayed like this, neither of them knew. Jisoo felt so much weight lifted from her shoulders. Since her parents passing, she never allowed herself to feel anything or show any emotion, she never again wanted to experience that same hurt she felt the day they died. Why was it then that she lost control of all her emotion tonight, and that in the arms of a stranger?

She suddenly became aware of what was happening, of Jungkook holding her, of her whole body becoming weak in his embrace. She couldn't, she had to get away. Pulling away from him, she stood up. Not knowing what to do with her hands and what to say, she said "Sorry, about that." She gave him a quick glance and turned around to go inside.

She had to leave, she couldn't allow herself to like him. He would be leaving tomorrow and she'll never see him again. She had to forget about him and it was better that way, she didn't have a future and she could never drag someone down with her, especially someone she was starting to have feelings for...... tomorrow couldn't come soon enough.
