Chapter 22: A Baby to Reveal

It was Saturday. We had practice today. Kunimitsu and I were about to go out until Ayana came with the phone. "Miyu-chan, your brother is on the phone," she said. I took the phone from her. "Hello?" I said. "Miyu I have a huge favor to ask you," he said. "What is it?" I asked. "Can you watch Tiffany for the day? I have to go to an important meeting and Kana has a cold," he said. "I have tennis practice to manage," I said. I was in a tight spot.

I knew Ayana would be busy today with errands. Kunikazu would be out with friends. My grandfather was busy with government stuff. Kunihiro was at work. {What am I going to do?} I faced Kunimitsu. I knew that I was needed today. "I can go call Ryuzaki-sensei if we can take her with us," he said. I nodded my head.

Ryuzaki-sensei gave us an okay. I told my brother to bring her over. Kunimitsu went to practice while I waited for Tiffany. My brother would drop Tiffany and I to school. I saw my brother in his car. I sat in the back. I saw Tiffany wide awake. "Awww, she grown so much!" I squealed. Tiffany was only a few months old. "Thank you so much sis," I heard.

My brother dropped us off at the school. I made sure that I had everything that she would need for the day. I pushed the stroller towards the tennis courts. I saw Ryuzaki-sensei already out of the court. "Ryuzaki-sensei," I called out. She turned with a smile. "Ah Asada-chan. You brought your niece," she said and looked at Tiffany. "This is Tiffany," I introduced. I pulled her out of the stroller and into my arms.

Tiffany looked at the tennis courts. "She looks like she has an interest in tennis I see," Ryuzaki-sensei said with a smile. Tiffany did had an interest in tennis. She was focused on the ball. I turned to see Kunimitsu on the courts supervising. I didn't go onto the tennis courts because I didn't want to put Tiffany in any danger. I turned to Ryuzaki-sensei.

"Do you mind watching Tiffany for me? I need to change into my jersey" I said. She looked at me. "You don't have to change into your jersey today," she said. I nodded my head. Tiffany kept squealing happily in my arms.

Tezuka was watching the tennis courts. "Who's baby is that?" he heard. He heard a baby squeal. He turned his head to see Miyu and Tiffany. One by one, the regulars notice Miyu with a baby. Tezuka made his way towards them.

Miyu point of view

I heard Tiffany squeal. Her arms were out towards something or someone. I turned to see Kunimitsu making his way towards us. "Tiffany is here I see," he said. He let Tiffany grab one of his fingers. Miyu knew that he was a great uncle. Tiffany tried to put Kunimitsu finger into his mouth, but he made sure that it didn't. Soon the regulars came over to see the baby.

"So this is your niece," Fuji said with a smile. I nodded my head. Tiffany looked at them. When she got to Kaidoh, she started to cry. I tried to calm her down by bouncing her up and down a bit. "Sh....sh.....its ok. Its ok," I said to her. Her cries went down to whimper. {If I were a baby, I would cry at Kaidoh's face.}

Unexpectedly, Kunimitsu took Tiffany from my arms. Tiffany didn't cry of course. She was happy. "Looks like she doesn't cry with Tezuka," Oishi said with a smile. Tiffany was too focused on the match that was happening on the court. The regulars were surprised. "How come she is not crying?" Momoshiro asked. We never told them about our engagement.

I turned to Kunimitsu. Kunimitsu turned to Fuji. Fuji got the message. "Thats because Tezuka is Tiffany's future uncle," Fuji said with a smile. "EH?!"

Everyone was in shock. Tiffany clapped at their reaction. I laughed at Tiffany's response. "What does that suppose to mean Fuji-sempai," Momoshiro asked. I could see Inui writing in his notebook. "Tezuka and Asada-chan are engaged. Their grandfathers made the arrangement for them when they were babies," Fuji explained for us.

"You knew?" Kawamura asked. "Oishi knew too," Fuji said. "Eh! Oishi, how come you didn't tell me?" asked Kikumaru. Oishi turned to Kikumaru. "Tezuka told me not to," he said in his own defense. "That explains a few things," Inui said as he continued to write. Kawamura looked at us. "Are you guys okay with the arrangement?" Kawamura asked. "Yes," we both said.

Tiffany looked tired and gave a yawn. It was time for her nap. "Its nap time for you," I said to Tiffany. I took her and put her in the stroller. She fell asleep right away. I took her to the club house so there was no noise. She was very cute when she sleeps.

Now everyone knew about our relationship. It took Tiffany to help us tell them. Fuji too.
