Chapter 18: Good News?

I woke up on a Sunday. Tezuka was going fishing with his grandfather. I went to the kitchen to eat breakfast. I sat next to Tezuka. "What are you going to do today Miyu?" Ayana asked curiously. I looked up at her. "I have a doctor's appointment today," I told her.

Tezuka looked at me. "I should go with you," he said. I turned to him. "No you should go fishing with your grandfather. You haven't spend much time with him since I came to live here," I said with a frown. It was true. Tezuka was very attentive to me that he didn't spend much time with Kunikazu. I really wanted to go to the hospital alone this time. "Go have fun," I said. He nodded his head and cleaned his dishes.

Two hours later...

I walked to the hospital. I was called inside the office and did the usual routine. She saw that my heart rate got a bit higher but, not to high. "I could tell you that it is a good thing. Do you remember what happened?," she asked. I told her about the two instances that happened that made my heart feel comfort.

She gave me a smile. "I could say that you are falling for him," she said with the smile. "Huh?" I was confused. "This is a good thing for you. Its another way to recover," she said. She put her hand on mine. "Don't worry, its a good sign of progress in your recovery," she reassured me. I smiled at her. {I wonder if Tezuka feel the same way for me.}

After the doctor's appointment, I walked home and prepared my own lunch. After lunch, I went to our room and thought about what the doctor said. Basically, loving Tezuka was another way to heal my heart. {Will I allow myself to love him with this condition?} I heard the door open. I turned to see Tezuka in his fishing outfit.

"How was fishing?" I asked. "It was fine. We caught a couple of big fishes today," he said. I guess we were having fish tonight. He turned to look at me. "How was the doctor appointment," he asked. "I'll tell you later. Right now, you need to wash up," I told him. He nodded his head and went to the bathroom. I looked at the time. It was almost time to prepare dinner. I went down to the kitchen to help Ayana with dinner.

{I am going to have to tell him sooner or later.} It was dinner time. I helped make some steamed fish with green onions. It was delicious. I enjoyed the meal very much. I didn't mind eating more than usual. I could see Tezuka was happy to see me eat more food.

After dinner, we went upstairs and we sat on the bed. He told my hand in his hand. "How was the doctors appointment?" he asked me. "It was fine. The doctor said that she was finally seeing some progress since the first time I stepped into her office," I said. I could see him smile a little. He let out a sigh of relief.

"Is there anything that I need to know?" he asked. "Um..."
