Chapter 21

We're busy having the final touch of our booth.

"Eric can you please, adjust that one on this side?"

"Dito?"

"There, thanks"

Nakapwesto na din ang eskaparate namin na lalagyan ng cakes. It has a cooler at the bottom. Sabi kasi nila mas masarap kapag malamig ang cakes especially we used ice cream as an icing.

We borrowed it from Kian. Bagong gawa lamang ito, it's for their meatshop. Hindi pa nagagamit so safe for cakes.

I felt my phone vibrated. Avril texted me that she's already outside.

"Ky, Avril texted me. She's already at the gate. I think she needs help. Go with Uno"

"Sure"

He bring Uno with him. Mabigat kasi ang dala ni Avril. She has the ingredients for the milk tea.

"Hersh, someone's looking for you"

Aryana called me pointing at someone.

"Hi, what can I do for you?"

I asked the beautiful girl infront of me. She has darker skin than mine but she's so pretty. Her hair is natural black and curly.

"Pinapatawag po kayo ni Ma'am Rina sa office niya"

I wonder why. She's our adviser, maybe she'll ask for an update for our booth?

"Sure, thank you"

She just smiled at me and then leave.

"I got to go to the office"

Paalam ko sa kasama ko before I leave. Students are all busy now. Only senior high schools are tasked to have booths. It serves as one of our practicum.

I knock on her door and she asked me to come in, so I did.

"Good morning ma'am"

"Good morning Hershel, I would like to congratulate you first for leading so well. I heard that your section is performing well and your booth is good"

"Thank you ma'am"

"But aside from that, I asked you to come here because, according to your Music teacher, you missed a performance last time"

Oh gosh! Maybe she's talking the last time I walked out.

"And because of that you're task to perform on the closing program on Friday"

"But maam-"

She cutted me off.

"Hershel, it's a consideration for you. If you'll perform then mababawi mo ang nawalang grades sa iyo."

She's right. But I don't think I can do that alone.

"Can I have someone with me ma'am?"

"It's up to you Hershel. So, I guess we have a deal."

I just nodded. It's so stressful.

"I'm sorry for this Hershel. I know you're busy but, the one who's supposed to perform that night got into an urgent situation."

"I understand ma'am, thank you for the chance"

I thanked her before I leave her office. I don't know what should I feel. I am happy because I was given a chance to comply but then, there are lots of people. I don't know if I can afford that.

"What happened?"

Mich immediately asked nang makapasok ako sa booth namin.

"Ma'am asked me to perform this Friday for the closing event."
