I shot up from my sleeping position. Tears were falling down my face and onto my hands. My entire body was shaking.
It got him dead.  Regulus' voice echoes inside my head as I get up from my bed.
My parents wouldn't let me do anything stupid that would get me killed, would they?  The knot, that I was not aware of, was slowly growing larger in my throat. I open my trunk and take out some parchment and a quill. I sit back down on my bed and start writing.

Dear Evie,
I am sorry that I am just writing to you. Even though it has only been two days, I still miss you dearly. I can not wait till you are here with me, so we can stay up all night studying and exploring the castle by day. Harry has already gotten himself in trouble somehow. He flew a car to Hogwarts. What kind of stupidity is that? I am guessing you had to hear about that from mom and dad. Did you know that Dad sent me a Howler?  It was totally embarrassing. I did make a new friend because of it. His name is Cedric. He is a Hufflepuff and very popular, from what I can figure out. Harry is not to excited about it. He must not think that I need any other guys in my life besides him and dad. He's always been a little arrogant, do you agree?  I hope to hear about your adventures at home.
Love your favorite sibling,
Goldie

It was short, but suffice. I look out my window and see that it is still dark outside. I could go sit in the common room. I set my quill on my bedside table before quickly getting changed into some jeans and a jumper. I quietly walk down the stairs.
"What are you doing up?" Hermione asks me, resulting in me jumping down the last four stairs.
"I could ask you the same thing," I reply, regaining my composure.  She rolls her eyes.
"Harry gave me his potions homework last night," she grumbles, "I was just finishing it up."
"He should do his own homework," I tell her, "if he gives it to you just tell him that he should be more responsible and do it himself. If he has questions, then that is the appropriate thing to ask." Hermione giggles.
"I'll try that next time," she complies, "I've told you what I was doing. Now, what are you doing?"
"Couldn't sleep," I tell her, sitting down on the couch, next to her, "Thought I would sit down here so I wouldn't bother anyone." Hermione nods.
"It's four-thirty," she mumbles, "maybe you should try again in a little bit." I nod, as I scan through the homework Hermione was doing.
"Did you know that for a Polyjuice Potion you can add anything that was once attached to the human? Like hair, finger nails, toe nails, even blood!" I recall from so of my mom's old books. Hermione smiles at me.
"I did not know that," she whispers, before scribbling something down in her hand, "I'm going to ask Professor Snape if that's true." I giggle and continue reading the homework.
"That actually looks like fun," I mumble, "We only got lectured yesterday about that he can 'show us how to brew glory and stop death'."
"That what he told us last year," Hermione giggles, "he must repeat it to all of his first year classes." She rolls up the parchment and shuts her book.
"I guess I should take some of my own advice and go to bed," she says, "I advise that you do the same. I wouldn't be able to deal with certain people without some sleep." We both giggle at her addition. I get up and walk with her until we get to the first year dorms.
"Sleep well, Hermione," I tell her as she continues up the stairs.
"You as well, Goldie," she whispers, hoping not to wake anyone. I open the door to our dorm and find my cat and Ginny's cat snuggling in my bed. I sit down next to them and Midnight gets up and snuggles into my lap.
"Good morning," I whisper, laying down next to Snowflake, "I'm gonna sleep some, but you two are welcome to stay here." Midnight lays on my chest and taps Snowflake with her paw. Snowflake grabs it with her paws and falls asleep. I close my eyes and see my dad in my head.

"I'm so proud of you, Goldie," Dad says, "You are the best daughter in the world." Everlyn looks at me, with tears in her eyes.
"How could you?" she growls, "I was dad's favorite and now I'm nothing." She stalks away from me. I feel tears collecting in my eyes.
"I need you to do something, Goldie," Dad tells me, "I need you to find where those voices were coming from and why you could hear them."
"I n-never t-told you ab-bout that," I stutter, backing away from him.
"A good father always knows," he whispers, "will you do it?" I nod, smiling.
"Of course, Dad," I tell him, "I'd do anything for you." Dad smiles and pats me on the shoulder.
"I knew I could count on you," he says, sending me out the door.  I explore the halls of Hogwarts until I get to the girl's bathroom on the second floor. There was a gigantic snake and Ginny.
"We are being watched," the snake hisses.  Ginny looks at me and tilts her head.
"I don't see anything," Ginny says. I put my eyes down and run.
"What is happening?" I scream, as I get into the Great Hall. No one was in there and I start crying.
"Why is this happening?" I yell, as I press my hands onto my ears. Screams start to echo through my head.
Goldie!
Wake up!
Goldie wake up!
What are you doing?
Why aren't you responding.

I open my eyes and scream.
