"I'll see you next year, Regulus," I say, only making his long arms tighten around me. I struggle against him, but after a while I just wait for him to let me go.
"I wish I could follow you home," he complains, "I'm going to miss you so much.. I won't have anyone to talk to."
"What about Fabian and Gideon?"
"They're great.. but I know I can always talk to you." I smile and he finally lets me go.
"Promise me you'll screw with Sirius?" I laugh and ruffle his hair.
"I'll have to hand that off to Ara," I reply, "I'm gonna be studying all summer." He smiles and nods.
"Alright, but don't spend your whole summer studying," he says, "you should keep spirit walking while you are at home. There might not be anyone for you to talk to, but it might make you stronger for memories." I nod and give him another hug.
"I will," I tell him, "I promise.. I won't study all summer and I will spirit walk at night."
"And have fun." We hug again for the third time before I go back up to the dorm."What's in here?" I complain, as Ginny, Ara, and I sit down on Heather's trunk. Heather buckles the trunk together and we get up.
"Some light reading for over the summer," she replies, "my parents want to know all about the magical world and I thought that I would bring them some stuff to read." I laugh and go over to sit on Ara's overflowing trunk. It only takes me to sit on it for it to close. My trunk does not need anyone to sit on it, and neither does Ginny's trunk. I sigh as I pick up my trunk. We leave the dorm and I shut the door.
"I can't believe that we're done with our first year," Ginny says, "I guess I was.. umm.. gone for like half of it." She giggles and I smile. We make our way down to the Great Hall and we set out stuff out by the courtyard.
"I wonder who won the House Cup..." Heather asks.
"I think I might now which one it is.""Welcome to the End of Year Feast!" Cheers erupt through the hall.
"Now, before we eat, I will announce the winner of the house cup. In fourth place, Ravenclaw.. in third place, Hufflepuff... and in first place GRYFFINDOR!" Our table screams and cheers with all of our volume. McGonagall smirks at Snape as we continue to cheer.
"Now, let's eat."After stuffing our faces with food, we start to board the train. Rachel joins us in our compartment and we continue to talk about summer plans.
"We will have to go on a muggle shopping trip," Heather says, "it's a must!" We all nod.
"It sounds like fun," I say, "I've been to the mall before, but only for specific things."
"Muggles sometimes just go to the mall to wander around and look at random things." Ara, Ginny, and I nod. Someone knocks on the compartment door. I open it and Cedric is standing on the other side.
"Hello," he says, "I.. um." I turn around to my friends before stepping out and shutting the door. He wraps his arms around me and presses me tightly to his chest. His chin rest on my head and a deep sigh escapes his mouth. I cling back to him and I press my face into his shirt. We stand like that for a long while, just holding each other. Cedric tightens his grip on me again before letting me go.
"I.. I'm gonna miss you," he whispers, "I'm gonna write every day, alright? You'll write me back, right?" I smile and grab his hand.
"Of course," I reply, "what I'm doing might not be that fun, but I'll write you everyday." This finally brings a smile to his face.
"We'll have to meet up at some point," he says, "I'll help you study if you'd like." I hug him again and he wraps his fingers in my hair.
"I've gotta go," he whispers, "I'll see you later, love." My face heats and I smile.
"Bye, Cedric..." My heart aches and he lets me go.
I love you
I go back into the compartment with all of the girls. We continue to talk about what we might want to do over the summer."Goldie!" Harry grabs my trunk and rolls it to me. I pick it up and Ara soon receives hers. I hug Ginny, Heather, and Rachel goodbye.
"We'll see you later," Ara says, hugging them after me, "Don't forget to write, all of you!" We all agree and I walk off to find my parents. Messy black hair in the middle of a crowd catches my eyes. I rush off into his direction and throw myself into him.
"Dad!" I say, as he lifts me up. I break into laughter as he spins me around. He kisses my check and I put my arms around his neck.
"Oh, my flower! I've missed you so much." I smile as he sets me down. I look around, searching for my mom.
"Mum's not here," Dad explains, "She's at the house.. Goldie, I've got something that I've got to tell you." My smile falls and Ara finally catches up to me.
"What's wrong?" I ask.
"Oh, nothing wrongs," he says, "it's just change, and I know you don't really like change." I nod and Harry reaches us as well.
"We moved.. into Grandma and Grandpa Potter's house." My chest grows tight with sadness and stress.
"You've been moved into the room you always had when we went to visit," Dad explains, "and Ara's right across the hall from you."
"Al-alright," I stutter out, "is all of my furniture still the same?"
"Yes, of course. And we put everything in the same place as it was." I smile and Ara loops her arm through mine.
"Lets go," she says, "we've gotta have some fun before you shut yourself up in your room to study." I laugh as she pulls me off to the car. I try to block out the stress building up in my chest as we pull out.
