I open my eyes and Regulus was standing over me. I sit up straight and smack my forehead into his chin.
"Crap, sorry," I say, as I massage my forehead, "It didn't register that you were.. right there." Regulus chuckles.
"You are the clumsiest person I've ever met," he chuckles, sitting down next to me on the sofa, "did you hear about the attack?"
"The attack?" I ask, "You mean the flooding problem with the blood on the wall?" Regulus nods.
"Did you see.. what.. or who it was?" I ask, as I notice a bruise on Regulus' chin.
"No," he says, rubbing his chin.
"Are you okay?" I ask, "That looks kinda bad.." Regulus shrugs me off.
"It's fine," he says, "stop worrying, Marigold. We're going to look at the corridor that it happened in." Regulus takes my hand and drags me with him.
"Wait, I have a question!" I say, as he continues to drag me down the stairs.
"Walk and talk," he says. I roll my eyes.
"Are you the reason that I got lightheaded?" I ask him. Regulus' pale face turns a light pink.
"Maybe," he says, "I didn't mean to, but I really needed to talk to you!" I glare at him and cross my arms.
"Come on, Goldie," Regulus says, "I didn't know that would happen.. I thought I might just be able to talk to you not make you faint!" I roll my eyes and follow him. We get to the corridor and I finally get to read the writing on the wall.
"The Chamber of Secrets has been opened, enemies of the heir beware." Regulus reads. I snort.
"Must be some seventh years trying to freak everybody else out," I tell him, "I wouldn't be to surprised, I mean what kind of horrible rhyming is that? Enemies of the heir beware." Regulus glares at me.
"Mrs. Norris, Flitch's cat was petrified," he says, "no student at Hogwarts could do that." I shrug.
"Maybe they got a teacher to help them," I offer, "You never know."
"This is serious, Goldie," he says, "they need to figure out what this is. The teachers seemed really concerned about it." I start to realize that this was more than a prank.
"This can't be good then," I mumble, as I start to walk towards the bathroom. The water had been cleaned up, presumable by Flitch.
"There was water..."
"Coming from the bathroom," Regulus cuts me off. We walk into the bathroom. Nothing seemed out of place. I look to the sinks.
"Maybe someone accidently left the sink on," I say, walking back out, "I'm sorry, Reg. I'll keep looking around and try to find some more information."
"We could go to the library now," Regulus says, "We could look up Chamber of Secrets." I frown.
"I have homework, Reg!" I complain, "How about when I'm done.. I'll come back and help you, Regulus, but I have to finish my homework." Regulus nods.
"Alright," he says, "I'll see you in an hour." I nod and wake myself up.After I finish my homework I go and lay down in my dorms. I lay there for a while, before my eyes finally start to close. Regulus was once again standing over me. I sit up with a jerk, but I miss his head this time.
"Don't do that!" I shout at him, "I thought maybe you'd be in the library getting some books out." Regulus blushes and mumbles something.
"Let's go," I say, getting out of my bed and starting down the stairs. Regulus follows me.
"I hope that Flitch is not patrolling close to the library," he mumbles. I roll my eyes. We get to the library and I check to make sure Flitch is no wear around. I swing open the door and walk in. I walk straight over to the H section.
"Have you already got an idea?" Regulus asks, following me and leading on the shelf.
"Maybe this is something about Hogwarts," I say, "So Hogwarts A History would make sense, wouldn't you think?" Regulus nods, smiling. I find it and take it to a table. I quickly scan the chapter content.
Secret Rooms
I turn to the chapter and quickly start reading.
"Helga Hufflepuff made a room called the Room of Requirement," I say, "If you go to the fifth story corridor and wish for a room that you need it will appear." Regulus looks at me confused.
"And Salazar Slytherin..." I say, looking over to the other page to find it missing.
"It's missing," I mumble, "someone torn the pages out. How could anyone do that to a book?" Regulus snorts.
"Sorry," I say, "Am I missing something? Is this funny to you? We were so close, Reg! This could have answered something!" He chuckles.
"I cannot believe you are talking about a book like it's an animal," he laughs, "I have never heard someone talk like that." I pick up the book and hit him.
"Hey!" he shouts, "maybe we could look for another book.. they're must be another book about it if it has anything to do with a founder." I nod, getting up and putting Hogwarts' A History away. I quickly walk over to the S section of the library. I notice that there is a large gap in the books.
And of course its right where the Slytherin books would be. I kick the shelf in frustration.
"Merlin's bloody spectacles!" I scream, "where are the Slytherin books?" Regulus grabs me from behind.
"Hey," he whispers, "It's okay! We'll find another way, Goldie." Tears start to run down my face.
Someone is hiding their tracks. I can't believe any student would be smart enough to do this.
"You should get back to your dorm," Regulus says, "I'll keep looking around, alright. You should get some rest." I nod, wiping some tears off of my face.
"Y-yeah," I stutter, "Y-you're r-right-t. I sh-shouldn't g-get s-so upset ab-bout th-this." Regulus nods, and calm strokes my hair.
"Let's get you back," he says, walking with me to the dorm.
