My heart hammers as I rush to the common room. The second year notes are pressed into my chest as I skip up the stairs to the dorms. No one is there to greet me, so I let out the excited scream that I had been holding in. I start jumping up and down trying to alleviate the happiness in my chest. I set the notes in my trunk and continue my jumping and screaming.
"What in Merlin's name?" Hermione asks, barging into the room, "What.... why are you screaming?" I look at her, with a stupid grin on my face.
"I did it!" I shout, grabbing her hands, "I did it, Hermione! I passed!" Hermione smiles and hugs me tightly.
"That's great, Golds," she says, "oh, it'll be so nice to sit with you instead of the boys for a change." She lets go of me and I continue my jumping.
"I feel like I'm about to explode with excitement," I tell her, the bouncing only getting higher. Hermione laughs.
"I'll let you get to that," she says, "I'll see you at dinner." She turns and leaves. I shake my hands before rushing off to find Cedric.

I see my tall sandy brown haired- boyfriend from across the courtyard and let out a squeal. I rush towards him and fling my arms around him. A deep chuckle escapes his throat and he picks me up.
"Wow, must have been really good news," he says, as I get spun around, "tell me all about it, alright?" I nod, laughing as he throws me up in the air to get me all the way into his arms. I giggle and he carries me back over to the lake.
"If you throw my into the lake, Cedric Diggory," I scream, staring at the nearing water, "I swear to Merlin!" He laughs and puts me on the ground. I notice his broom laying by the shore.
"Still up for that broom ride?" he asks, holding in a laugh.
"Can I talk while we ride?"
"Of course, I wanna hear all about it." He lets me get onto the broom first and then he gets on behind me. He grabs the broom in front of me and kicks of the ground.
"So start at the beginning, like right after Dumbledore came and got you." I set by hands on his and start my story.
"He got my test results back, so he wanted to talk to me in his office. He noticed my nervousness and told me that it was good news. Well, I passed those, and got the green light to study the second year material and take the tests before the start of next term. My parents are going to help me with spells, and I've got permission to do it from the Minister of Magic. That was pretty much it." Cedric squeezes me and laughs.
"This is amazing! I am free to help you with anything you need help with, but I doubt that you'll need it. You're so smart." I start down at our hands, my face getting hot. He sets his chin on the top of my head.
"You are so amazing." I giggle and press my chin to my chest. He flies us over the castle and lands us in the courtyard.
"You should go find your friends," he says, "go tell them, I can tell you want to. I'll see you at dinner, alright? I'm so proud of you, love." I feel my face turn pink and smile.
"Thank you, Ced," I reply, "I'll see you at dinner."

I turn into the Great Hall, my eyes searching for my friends. Ara's bright pink hair immediately catches my eyes. Her, Ginny, Heather, and Rachel are sitting together playing cards. I sit down besides Ara.
"No," she says, not even turning to me, "you are supposed to be with Cedric all day. Go away." I hit her, playfully and she turns to me.
"Maybe I have something to tell you?" That gets everybody's attention and Ara fidgets in her seat.
"You better not be screwing with us," Ginny says, "did you get your exams back?" I nod and they all squeal.
"I presume you passed," Heather comments, "you're not crying." My smile get wider and Ara hugs me.
"That's amazing!" Rachel says, "I can't believe I've made a friend who is that smart!" I laugh and shove my face into Ara's hair.
"You're going to be no fun this summer," Ara complains, "you'll be studying the whole break!"
"We'll have to get her out some, so she doesn't go insane," Ginny teases, "maybe we can go shopping or fly around at my house." I smile.
"We can show you some muggle things!" Rachel says, "Heather and I can."
"We could go watch a movie in a theater!" Heather exclaims, "That'll destress Goldie after studying."
"I'll probably be free all summer since Goldie is going to study all summer," Ara teases again, "Or I'll have to drag her out of her study." I shake my head at the continuing line of joke making.
"I've gotta go write to my parents," I tell them, "I'll come back down for dinner."

When I get up to the dorm, I pull out a piece of parchment and a quill. I start writing;
Dear Mum and Dad,
I got my exams results today. I got O's on everything! I am so excited! Dumbledore told me that I have gotten permission from the Minister of Magic for you to supervise me learning new spells. I cannot believe that I actually get to do this. Cedric and all of the girls are so proud of me and I cannot wait to see you in a week.
Cedric offered to help me in anyway he can, and the girls have already assigned themselves to destressing me. I cannot believe I have made so many supportive friends.
Tell Evie I love her and I cannot wait to see her again.
Love,
Goldie
