The human closed their eyes and focused themself.
"Belphegor, Avatar of Sloth, I call you to me." They speak a summoning spell and, in an instant, the demon is in front of them. He yawns and rubs his eyes.
"MC? You woke me up..." he looks around "Why did you summon me? Where are we..?"
"This is the human world!" They say with joy. Belphegor looked to the human in shock.
"You called me from the Devildom to the human world? Doesn't that take a lot of magical energy?" They laugh.
"I'm more powerful than I look. Plus, Solomon gave me some tips on energy-conservation. Even so, it's worth it to see you." They grab the demon's hand. He blushes.
"U-Um... So, did you just call me here to see me?" He avoids eye-contact. The human giggles.
"You really think I'd summon you without a plan? Nope, I've got something to show you." They tighten their grip on Belphie's hand. "Come on!"

MC leads Belphegor through a hallway and out a door to a back yard. The cool late-autumn air enters both their lungs and the demon quickly looks up at the beautiful night sky.
"Wow... It's so pretty." He smiles.
"I know how much you like stargazing so I calculated the perfect day to bring you here." They grin, happy that their gift seemed to have as much of an impact as they hoped it would. The demon looks back down from the sky at the human.
"You really didn't need to do all that, I love the stars no matter how they look." The human silently smiles and leads Belphegor farther into the yard.
"Here, lay down with me." They let go of his hand and lay down on their back on the cool grass. He follows suit. They stare into the sky together.
"It's been so long since I've seen the human world's stars." He moves so his head is nuzzled slightly into MC's shoulder and so that he can grab onto  their arm.
"When was the last time?" They lean into his touch.
"Well, of course I've seen it when spending nights up here as a demon, but the last time I really took time to appreciate them was when I was an angel... with Lilith." He loses his smile.
"Is that so?" MC knew he would mention Lilith. That was the point of the plan, afterall. "You see that one right there? The one that looks like it's just an outline?" They point into the sky at a specific celestial body.
"Yeah?" He follows the line their finger makes towards the star. It didn't look like a star though, it was likely a planet or moon or dwarf planet by the looks of it.
"That one there is called 'Black Moon Lilith'." They smiled as they dropped their hand.
"What?"
"Humans like naming different celestial beings and constellations. We especially like naming them after myths and legends, gods and goddesses. A long time ago, some human decided Lilith should be the name of that moon." The human looked at the moon, HER moon, and thought of their ancestor.
"Wow... They named it after her... Is there any significance to that star?"
"Where do I start? The Black Moon Lilith may not be an especially impressive astronomical discovery, but it's so important to so many spiritual beliefs. Belphie, do you know much about astrology?" They cuddle in closer to the demon, getting ready to explain.
"No, not really." He answered, gazing into the endless sky above.
"Well, some humans believe that celestial beings have a say in what you are. When you're born, the placement of different planets and stars and constellations indicate what you become, how you think, what you believe. At least, that's what Astrologists think." They take a breath and close their eyes. "Black Moon Lilith is... our most hidden desires. The part of you that can't be changed, no matter how hard you try. It reveals... what we like to keep hidden. Our repressed sexuality, our most vulnerable feelings, the darkest parts of our personality." They gently open their eyes, focusing on the moon in question. "Lilith represents... the part of yourself you can't repress. The darkness you try to hide. The part yearning to be free."
Belphegor thought in silence for a long while. That felt... very accurate. Lilith, the real Lilith, not just some star, her death is what caused the darkness in his soul. But more than that, she represented a vulnerability he had... Family. Family meant everything to him. He tried to keep it hidden to outsiders, but his biggest weakness was his loved ones. The death of his little sister left him angry. Angry at the world, angry at his father, and most of all angry at humanity. His love for his sister turned into a dark hatred for all of humanity. That's why Lucifer agreeing to Diavolo's plan to make peace between worlds was so infuriating to him. He wanted revenge against humans and his brother sealed him away for that. His family. One of the most important people to him locked him away for wanting to avenge another one of the most important people to him. That's why it all hurt so much. He replayed the scene where he killed MC over and over in his mind, furious at himself. They were his family now. He should have realized that. How ironic is it to spend so long hating humanity to then suddenly have the love of your life turn out to be a human?
