New Love, Same Protective Brother

Perspective: Asmodeus, third person

The lustful demon hums as he enters the House of Lamentation, the building he and his brothers have been living in for the past few centuries. After a long time of hopping from house to house, it seems this will be their permanent home in the devildom. He wanders into the library, hoping to find someone to talk to about his recent excursion to the human world. He finds Lucifer, looking for a book. His eldest brother turns around and smiles as he sees him.
"Asmodeus, welcome back. I didn't realize you were back in the devildom yet." He greets before turning back to the wall of books behind him.
"Luuucifeeeeeer~" he sings. The demon in question grabs the book he needed with a sigh.
"Yes?" He questions, facing his brother again.
"Well, I was wondering... would you be mad... if..." he pauses between his words. Lucifer furrows his brow, already not liking this. "I made a pact with a human?" Lucifer gasps.
"You did WHAT?" he asks, filled with surprise and worry and a little anger. Asmo steps back.
"I know you always warn us about making pacts on our own and stuff but I'm really strong! It's not like this human could take full control of me, if he wants me to do something I don't want I'll just charm him and convince him not to!" he explains. Lucifer sighs again, finding that logic sound enough in the moment not to be mad.
"And who is this human exactly?" he asks, stepping further into the library and setting down his book, expecting this conversation to go on a while. He takes a seat and gestures for Asmo to join him.
"It's King Solomon. Well, he's not a king anymore but you've heard of him, right? You've had to! He's shaping up to be a very good wizard." Asmo says, getting comfortable sitting next to his brother. Lucifer frowns.
"I have heard of him and I don't like what's been said. I don't know much about him currently, though. I didn't even know he's been working with demons, I was under the impression he was a holy man." Asmo giggles at that.
"That was a long while ago. He got his first powers from our father, yes, but then he found out how unfair he was and broke ties with the celestial realm. His kingdom turned on him for that, though. Humans can be real sticklers for religion." He explains. "After that he kept working on magic, human world and devildom magic in particular. He even accidentally made himself immortal!" he yells excitedly. Lucifer goes wide eyed.
"He... made himself immortal? How could a human even do that?" he asks.
"Well, like I said, it was an accident. He told me he didn't know when or how it happened but it was probably because of some potion work he was doing at the time." he explains, happy to keep talking about Solomon. Lucifer chuckes.
"Wow... you've certainly found yourself quite the human." He looks over his brother, catching he way he smiled when he thought of this man. "But I must ask... why did you make this pact?" he questions.
"Well, I saw what this human was doing and thought he had big potential, but I could tell he was still apprehensive with using his connection to demon magic. Like subconsciously he still thought of it as 'against god'. Soooo I thought if I could get him into a pact with me, I could show him he doesn't have to follow those stupid rules anymore!" He grins, then giggles and lowers his voice. "Also, I found out he was still a virgin and... well, you know how I love helping inexperienced souls give in to their desires~." Asmo looks off at nowhere in particular, thinking lewd thoughts.
"Asmo..." Lucifer catches his attention, speaking seriously. "Are you sure you didn't make a pact with this human because you're in love with him?" he asks. Asmo nearly fall out of his seat in surprise.
"M-Me?! In love with a human?! Don't be ridiculous! Humans fall in love with ME, not the other way around!" he deflects, giving a forced chuckle. Lucifer places a hand on his shoulder.
"You don't need to lie to me. You're a demon who experiences very strong attraction, naturally you fall in love from time to time. I'm not here to stop you from making your own choices and I trust you to do the right thing but I'm concerned you may not be... thinking straight. Agreeing to a pact with nothing substantial in return isn't something I'd expect from you. Call me protective if you'd like, but I'm a bit concerned with what this human may do to you. As you said before, you're very strong, but that may come at a disadvantage. If he knew how to properly control your power..." he sighs "... I wont ramble any more than I already have, but it'd be very dangerous." He looks his brother in the eyes. "I love you and I don't want anyone to take advantage of you." Asmo tears up.
"Lucifer... you're never all emotional like this. It's not as big of a deal as you're making it. I'm capable and I know when I'm getting taken advantage of. This isn't one of those situations. I think if you met Solomon you'd really like him! He's a scholar and he loves to learn new things about magic, a-and he's a real gentleman." Asmo wipes his tears. "You can trust me on this one. He's a good guy. I promise." Lucifer lowers his head.
"Okay." He wraps his brother in a tight hug. "I trust you."
