I stared into the eyes of this mysterious boy.

"I'm," I took a deep breathe, "Evi."

My senses were still going off but at least now I knew the real reason why, and it - or should I say he - was stood right in front of me. I could feel everyone's eyes on me, as I continued to hold onto this boys hand. I noticed, and immediately let go, smiling awkwardly at the others.

I quickly looked at my wrist, and then back to the people on the table, "I should probably get going, times getting on."

"But you're not even wearing a wat-" Michael began but I clasped my hand onto his face, acting like this was normal.

"It was lovely meeting all of you," I said, standing up while looking at them all eyeing me, with confused expressions. I kept walking backwards until I felt myself walk into a table, so I turned around and apologised to the people sat there, before rushing out of the room.

This was terrible. In fact, no, this was way, way worse than terrible. Terrible didn't even come close. Another vampire, there was actually another vampire here? There had to be another blood-sucking, evil creature in this university. Did he kill the people here? Maybe he has a coffin in his room and he goes hunting every night. He could be 1316 years old for all I know!

I decided that, to clear my head, I should go to my English lecture and just concentrate on that, it could help to take my mind off of it.

Once I got inside, I could easily see I was one of the first to be in here, as the only people there were the teacher - who was occupied on a computer - and some kids at the front who were studying. I walked to the back of the class and pulled out my notebook. I started off drawing some random pictures in the corner but my mind kept flittering back to this Ashton guy, and before I knew it, my pencil had snapped in half.

I sighed and put both halves back in my bag and just coloured the page in with a sharpie. And soon the class was filled with people, but luckily none of them had given me a second glance.

"So," the teacher said, standing up from his desk. "I have a new assignment for you all, and it requires a lot of thought. It may-"

The man was interrupted by the door being flung open and that Ashton guy casually walking in. I didn't know he had this class? But considering he wasn't in my creative writing lecture - I would've sensed - he probably has two or three classes.

"Irwin, late again," the teacher said, huffing.

"My bad, sir," Ashton stopped and looked around the class, trying to find and empty seat.

"At the back," the teacher said. "There's a seat there."

Ashton looked up and noticed it was me in the seat next to the one that the man had pointed out, "And?"

"-and so you will sit on that seat and listen to this lesson. I've had enough of your excuses and late arrivals so maybe if I don't let you sit next to your friends, you'll learn," he said, sternly.

Ashton didn't reply, he just walked to the back and sat down next to me. He carelessly threw his bag under the table and tucked his chair further into the desk.

Throughout the lesson, I kept glancing at this guy, and he did the same. I could tell that from only saying a sentence to him, we'd already not set off on the right track. But how can you blame me for being slightly worried about the outcome of him being surrounded by humans? He might not even be a 'vegetarian', like I am.

"Can you get out your laptops now, please?" The teacher asks, and the class obliges.

I grab my bag and quickly fish out my laptop, resting it on the table and opening it. Ashton reaches under the table, a lot slower, and begins tugging at his bag, irritatedly.
