Ever since losing that battle to Lane, I felt like something changed in Hikaru.

He would always do things all by himself. Eating, bey training, almost everything we used to do together, he would do it all without me. When I tried to join him, he would tell me to leave him alone.

Whenever I'm around, he never looked me in the eyes, even if it's just for a second. He also didn't show up at the Bombers gym like usual.

The others and Honcho were understandably worried. When they asked me where he was, all I could answer was "He's tired." or "He's not in the mood today."

But I knew that there was something more to this. It's almost a week now. He can't be this upset over that battle with Lane, right?

At one point, I tried asking my bey, Hyperion if he knows what's going on. He wasn't sure either but...he did say that Helios, Hikaru's bey, was...a bit quiet recently.

I knew that Hyperion and Helios were related, so I get that he too would be worried about his own family.

I never got a clear answer about my brother's attitude.

Until one night.

I was walking to my room to go to bed. When I opened the door, I heard the sound of...crunching. I saw Hikaru, back turned towards me, crunching on something. At first I thought it was just candy.

But when I got closer, I was dead wrong.

Those were the broken parts of a beyblade, Lane's beyblade.

Then, my brother turned to me. Instead of the normal lime-green eyes I was used to seeing, they were almost cyan. But what horrified me the most was his mouth.

It was all bloody from the sharp shards of Lucifer's broken parts. I'd imagine that Hikaru would in so much pain right now. But no.

He took another part and put in his mouth. He that crushed with his teeth and swallowed it, his mouth gushing out more blood.

And he didn't shed a single tear.

He ate it all.

Like candy.
