So i was just sitting around out of boredom and suddenly this came up to mind.
U know how in BeyBurst, sometimes the wins don't really match with the blader's ranking?
Let's take for example...the Sparking Trio: Hyuga, Hikaru and Lane. They were rookie bladers who've only been seriously beyblading for weeks or months.
Yet, they're still able to defeat the legendary bladers like Free, Valt, Shu, Lui and so on who've been training for YEARS.
Same goes for Aiga during Cho-Z/Turbo. He only trained for months and still managed to beat Valt who had a lot more experience than he did.
Naturally, if you want to go up to the same level as someone who has more experience than you, you need to train REALLY hard to accomplish it. And for most people, it takes a lot of time.
So how in the heck did the legendary bladers loose to some rookies with less experience than them?!
Most people blame it on plot armour, which, I kinda understand. You don't just go out and defeat a Number 1 athlete without much training. It's almost impossible.
That is until I began focusing on a detail in the show that most people look over.
The beyblades.
It's clear that in the anime and manga, the beyblades pretty much have a mind of their own.
They talk to you, posses you, give you crazy powers and despite being spinning tops, they do stunts that absolutely defy the laws of physics!
Like, seriously. What kinda spinning top is able to maintain its stamina and keep spinning after being thrown almost a meter into the air!? It just doesn't happen in real life.
So, yeah, it's confirmed that the beyblades (the spirits within them at least) are living and breathing.
Let's not forget that the spirits within the beyblades are taken from mythologies all over the world.
We have Valkyrie, a female warrior from Norse mythology; Achilles, an invincible demigod in Greek mythology; Dragon, a giant winged beast that breathes fire and controls the weather; Hyperion, the Greek titan of light and his son, Helios, the Greek god of the sun. Oh, and don't forget Belial, a demon from Christian/Jewish demonology.
You get the point. The spirits are obviously not human, they are powerful beings and they've probably spent their millennia old lives battling each other for fun in their own little dimension.
With that in mind, let's go back to the plot armour thing. In my opinion, it's actually the beyblade that is responsible for their rookie blader's win.
Think about it. The blader spent his/her entire time working on his/her beyblade to achieve the ultimate goal, to be the best of the best.
The bey spirit, assuming that its benevolent and has no intention of possessing its blader, would also want to see their partner's success. Because of this, they are extremely loyal to their bladers.
It's like a parent and child situation. Most parents would pretty much do ANYTHING so their child could succeed in life, even if the child doesn't agree with their ways of achieving the goal.
So this is where my crazy butt theory comes in. The reason why rookie bladers like the Sparking Trio and Cho-Z Aiga were able to defeat legendary bladers isn't because of plot armour, but because their beys gave them their victory.
They probably know that their bladers' training isn't enough, but since they really want to win, the bey spirits used their millennia experiences of battling so that their partners can achieve what they want.
So yeah, that concludes this crazy butt theory of mine. Now there will be people who are gonna disagree with this theory but hey, this is just my opinion.
