Hange tilts her head in confusion looking between Erwin and Adira. "Huh? What about the last expedition?" She asks Erwin.

"Adira was sent beyond the walls ahead of time to make sure all the titans in our path were dead." He responds taking a sip of his water.

"Eh? So that's why there were barely any titans and casualties." Hange trails off. Adira sits beside them quietly while listening. "You could have gotten hurt though!" Hange pulls Adira into a hug.

"How stupid." Levi finally spoke after staying quiet. "What was the point?"

Erwin watches Levi cross his arms across his chest. "We had too many casualties a few days before. She made sure there were barely any during that expedition." Levi scoffs and glares at Adira.

Adira glares back and clenches her fist in her lap. If only she could sock him right in the face, maybe he would stop being such a dick. Hange and Erwin watch their little glare off and laugh.

Erwin puts his stern face back on and looks at Adira. "Thank you, Adira. That will be all, dismissed." Adira stands up and walks out the door.

-

Adira rubs her eyes as the wind flies through her hair. She pushed their conversation aside and pushed her horse forward with their squad and the newbies behind her.

"Into formation." She yells at the people around her. She rode at the front of the group with the others around her. They've been riding for a few minutes and only one red flare has been shot. They were already into titan territory and only one spot, it was strange.

"A 7 meter to our left!" Mia yells out. Adira looks at all the new cadets and points to a blank-faced boy.

"You go," She tells him as she pulls out a red flare and shoots it towards the sky. He nods and heads towards the titan. He attempts to get past its shoulder, but it hits him down. The boy gets back up frustrated and finally kills it. He gets back into the group. "Good job." Adira gives him a reassuring smile.

Adira's squad eventually meets up with Hange's and Levi's on the way back to the walls. The squads talk quietly amongst each other while Hange, Levi and Adira are at the front staying silent and watching. Erwin's and Mike's squad were around two kilometres away when three black flares were shot.

Hange squeals in excitement and whips her head towards Adira and Levi. "Three abnormals! This is amazing!" She sighs in content. Hange's eyes seem to sparkle as she rushes forward towards the abnormal titans.

"Tch, four eyes get back here!" Levi yells at Hange. He rushes up beside her and grabs the back of the cape and yanks it back. "Don't be stupid. You'll put everyone at risk." He utters.

Levi turned his head and watches Adira look over at the direction the black flares went off in.

"Squad Leader Adira! You should go kill the titans! That'll be so cool! I bet the newbies would love to see you in action!" Nyla says grinning at Adira. Adira looks back at her and shrugs her shoulders.

Levi curses Hange as she claps her hands. "Yes! That would be so cool, then we can use of for some of my experiment." Hange looks over to Adira and gives her puppy dog eyes.

Adira looks at Nyla and Hange as they plead for her to do it. "Pretty please." Only chants could be heard now from the people around Levi. Adira scowls and grips her horses' leash while changing direction towards the flares.

As Adira was about to rush to leave Levi shot his arm out and grabbed her wrist without even realizing he did it. He looks away from Adira and lets go of her wrist. "Don't die, brat." Adira nods her head and rushes off.

It's been ten minutes and Adira hasn't returned back to her squad yet. Her squad was tense and visibly shaking, Hange has a serious look on her face and Levi had a cold sweat.

"You don't think-" Nyla starts, but Noah quickly interrupts her.

"Shut up!" Nyla grips the leash and looks down.

Why was Adira taking so long, Levi grumbled in his head. He looked around trying to see if he could spot the brat, he could see her on her horse catching up to their group. Her squad, Hange, and even Levi let out a breath of relief.

"ADIRA! Thank god you're okay! I was so worried about you!" Hange cries out to Adira.

"Took you long enough," Levi tells her. She just gives a light laugh.

"As if I'd let myself get killed by an abnormal." She responds with a cheeky grin.
