"Adira." Called Erwin from across the room. Adira lifted her head from a worn out old book she had found inside Hange's lab. She placed the book down and stood up, catching the eyes of a few cadets who were taking a small water break from their training.

"Yes, Commander?" She asks curtly.

He gives her a small smile. "I need some documents from Commander Pyxis. I can't go, so I'm sending you and someone else." He tells her with a neutral face.

She nods her head. "When will we be leaving?" She asks, looking outside of the window.

"Early tomorrow morning. If everything goes according to plan, you'll be arriving there mid afternoon." His blue eyes trail off to scattered paperwork on his desk. "That will be all, make sure to pack your bags. Dismissed." She nods her and walks back to grab her aged book.

She tucks the book under her arm and starts walking down the halls. They were quiet which was nice as everyone was busy. The old floorboard creaked under her feet and wind gently brushed through her hair from the open windows.

Walking into her room, Adira grabbed a small bag in the closet and opened her drawer to grab some clothes. Neatly packing them and shoving them inside, Hange kicks open her door and jumps onto Adira's bed.

"Why are you packing your bag?" She says fixing her glasses. "You're not leaving me, are you?! I can't live without my wife!" She cries getting up and crushing Adira in her arms.

Adira lets out a genuine laugh. "No, I'll be gone for a few days though. Commander Erwin needs me to grab him some documents."

"Ah, okay!" Hange says, smiling and jumping back onto Adira's bed. "Man, your bed is so much more comfortable than mine. My bed feels like a rock." Hange whines, leaning back against the headboard.

"Maybe you should stay in my bed then." Adira winks with a smile.

Hange gasps. "Oh my god. Great idea!" Adira laughs and throws her bag onto the floor next to the door.

"Oi, Belmont." In walks Levi, who had his regular annoyed face on. She turns her head from Hange and to Levi who was standing at the door.

"Yes?" She asks, raising an eyebrow at Levi, who just stands at her door, staring. He blinks and frowns.

"R-right. Make sure you have your shit ready for tomorrow morning. We're leaving early." He stutters. The Levi stuttered.

Hange sat on the bed watching them from afar, Adira and Levi forgetting she was still there. She grins at Levi and he gives her a sharp glare.

"It's already packed." She responds. Levi looks down at the small bag that contained her clothes and a few other necessities. He grabs the bag and starts to turn away. "I'll put it with my bags."

Adira just nods and her eyes slowly trail down Levi's form while he isn't looking. He starts walking away and Adira immediately snaps out of her daze and pinches her arm.

"Wow, isn't he so generous." Hange snorts.

Adira and Levi had been on horseback for the last few hours and both their tailbones were sore. Adira rolls her shoulders back and groans in discomfort as Levi glances from the side of his eye.

"We should be there soon." He says, annoyed.

Adira rolls her eyes at his tone and grips the lead tighter, wanting the horse to speed up. They could see the Garrison headquarters ahead in the distance a few hours later.

Adira lets out a huff of air and wipes the small beads of sweat that accumulated on her forehead from the heat. They both sped up, trying to get there faster as their backsides were hurting.

They finally make it to the stables and hand the lead to someone who works there and grab their bags, slinging them over their shoulders.

They walked inside the building where a garrison soldier waited for them to show them to their room. The young soldier walked them down the hallways and stopped in front of a large mahogany wooden door.

"Since your ride was more delayed than we thought, there are leftovers in the kitchen for you to grab whenever you are hungry." He opens the door and walks them inside. It was a spacious room which was flooded with natural light. Commander Erwin had told them before they left that they would be given one of the finer rooms, Adira just didn't expect there to be only one bed.

"All of the other rooms are currently taken or are not ready to be used. I hope this is okay." He says, nervously glancing at the intimidating duo standing side by side.

"Tch." Levi walks around the room, surveying it and criticizing it with disgusted eyes and stops on the single bed.

The boy scampers out of the room and closes the door behind him.

"I'll go see if there is something that can be done about this." He states.

Adira just shrugs as she says, placing her bag down. "We're both mature adults, sharing a bed should be fine."
