Unexpected (stydia)

Chapter 29

A/N hey guys, here is another chapter. 

I am going to make Stiles be canon bisexual. He will never date a guy, but it maybe important for future chapters for him to be bisexual. And I have an idea of Lydia and Aiden getting together and Benny really not liking Aiden.

Stiles didn't get a chance to talk to Lydia at school so he decided he would go after school. After hanging out with Scott since Scott wanted to talk to him and they had to go look for Scott's inhaler which was in the forest.  

Scott told him that he could smell gum in his pocket but Stiles didn't even know he had that in his pocket and that he could hear things that he shouldn't be able to hear. Like everything was close. Stiles was confused by this and just joked that Scott was going to turn into a werewolf since Scott said that he was 'bitten by a wolf' 

That's when they had an encounter with Derek Hale.  

His family burned to death in a fire 10 years ago. 

Stiles felt really horrible for him but Derek was really creepy. 

Anyway Stiles felt like something weird was going on, about the whole Scott situation and Derek coming back to Beacon Hills after what happened. 

Stiles was now heading to Lydia's house, it probably around 7pm and Stiles wanted to get to the house before Ben had to sleep.

Stiles suddenly snapped out of his thoughts as he heard the door opening. He was at Lydia's house now and he had been thinking non-stop but now he had to talk to Lydia about why she ignored him today. He just wanted to check. 

'Stiles!' Lydia exclaimed at seeing him. 

'hey.' Stiles replied. 

'um, do you wanna come in?' Lydia asked, 'Benny is in the living room.' she continued. Stiles nodded, 'yeah, yeah sure. I just needed to talk to you' Stiles said as he walked into her house as she moved to the side to let him in. Lydia nodded, 'sure.' she gestured for him to go to the living room as she closed the front door. 

Lydia walked into the living room to see Stiles sat on the couch, holding Benny in his arms, smiling down at him. Benny's face was lit up when seeing his father. Lydia shook her head, smiling happily. 

She sat next to them. 'so, what did you want to talk about?' she asked. Stiles looked back at Lydia and nodded, remembering why he was there in the first place. 'I wanted to talk about this morning at School.' he responded. Lydia frowned, 'what happened this morning?' she asked, she sounded really confused. Stiles frowned but continued, 'you ignored me and Scott at the start of the day after I was asking if Benny went in good?'

Lydia frowned, 'when?' 

'before the bell rang.' 

'oh, that was you? I remember passing two people with Jasmine. I have been stressing about Benny's birthday party and she was telling me that she could make him a cake! So I was talking to her about that, I didn't know the people I passed were talking to me. It was kinda blurry. But I am so sorry and Benny did go in ok today, he waved at me and I didn't mean to ignore you-' 

'Lydia!' Stiles interrupted her loudly but not too loudly, not wanting to scare Benny. 'It's fine! Don't worry about it. I get that his first birthday is coming soon and you want it to be special. I am glad she is making a cake.' he smiled at her. 

Lydia sighed with relief and nodded, 'me too.' 

Stiles smiled slightly and looked down at Benny in his lap. Benny yawned and his eyes went droopy. Stiles put a hand on Benny's forehead and rubbed it gently, whenever he did this, Benny went to sleep really fast. 'this makes him fall asleep...' Stiles whispered as he looked back up at Lydia who was smiling at him. Stiles smiled back and looked back down at Benny who was now asleep, he took his hand off and held Benny in his arms. 'you are a great father Stiles.' Lydia smiled at him. Stiles looked at her and scoffed slightly, 'yeah, there are probably other fathers better than me but thanks Lydia...' 

Lydia smiled softly and looked down at the small body in Stiles' lap. 'I can not believe he is turning 1 soon...I know it is a month away and we are already planning but I want this to be special for him.' Stiles smiled at hearing Lydia say this, 'even though he won't remember it at all?' 

Lydia glared at him, 'we will take pictures!'

Stiles smiled and nodded, 'yep. He'll totally remember now.' he said sarcastically and playfully. Lydia rolled her eyes, 'I really hope he doesn't get your sarcasm.' 

Stiles laughed. 

After a few more seconds of silence and looking at Benny, Stiles spoke up again, 'Lydia...do you ever think about what the future will be like?' he asked her. Lydia's eyes opened in shock slightly, 'I mean, I can't go into the future but I hope it is good.' she told him. Stiles nodded, 'do you think we...um, never mind' Stiles whispered, Lydia didn't hear what he said, 'what did you say?' she asked. 

Stiles shook his head, 'forget it. I am just thinking about Ben...' 

'me too...' Lydia whispered. They were both staring at each other until Lydia coughed and pointed down at Benny, 'I should put him in his cot...' she whispered. Stiles nodded, 'and I will go, my dad will want me back...' 

Stiles kissed Benny's forehead and gently passed him to Lydia and Lydia stood up, the almost 1 year old in her arms. 

Stiles watched her walk around the corner and heard her going up the stairs. He nodded to himself and stood up, walked to the front door and stepped through it to the outside. He looked back into the house before he closed it and left. 

Stiles guessed this was the best things' were going to get for a while.
