3rd April 2010

Lydia woke up 50 minuets before her alarm was going to go off on that day. She felt the nausea still within her continuing from the night before. She thought that it might go away after she woke up but it hasn't. She slowly sat up and decided to go downstairs to get a glass of water. She rubbed her eyes and got out of bed slowly and headed downstairs, without waking her parents.

She got her glass of water and started to head back upstairs but stopped when noticed her history textbook on the stair step she was on. She bent down and picked it up. She remembered that she had a history exam on Monday and she hadn't revised yet, she had 40 minuets before her alarm is supposed to go off, she had time.

Once she got upstairs, she threw the textbook onto the bed, put her glass of water on the bedside table and sat down cross legged on her bed. She looked over to pick up the textbook and saw that it was open on a page of some type of horrible torture equipment from the 14th Century. She then felt her stomach flip at seeing that and she had the urge to be vomit. She rushed to her bathroom and was sick into the toilet.

By the time she was finished and was sat back on the side of her bed, she felt so much better. It must of been something she ate the day before because that page of that history textbook never made her feel sick before. She didn't know why that would set it off the vomiting but at least she felt better now. She finished of her glass of water, when she saw her mother's head around her bedroom door.

'Morning Lydia, you wanna come down for breakfast?' Natalie came into the room.

'nope.' Lydia replied sharply.

Natalie stayed quiet for a second, 'you ok Lydia? You always want breakfast, do you feel sick?'

'No! I don't feel sick mom! I just don't want breakfast, okay? Please leave me alone!' Lydia shouted.

'What's got into your Lydia? You come downstairs when your attitude has changed!' Natalie left the room and slammed the door slightly. Lydia sighed and rolled her eyes. She didn't know why she felt so annoyed right now, her mom did nothing wrong. Lydia then picked up her pillow and screamed into her pillow, letting the anger out.

When she finally got ready and downstairs, her father had already vanished and had gone to work, her mother was putting her jacket on and watched Lydia grab a banana from the fruit bowl. Natalie raised her eyebrows at her. 'I changed my mind.' Lydia replied to the stare stubbornly. Natalie rolled her eyes, 'okay...you ready to go then?'

Before she knew it, she was almost at school. The silence in the car between the two of them continued on until Lydia felt the need to apologize, 'I'm sorry mom, okay? Just today...I've felt odd. Really odd. And I shouldn't of screamed at you.' Natalie stayed silent as she pulled into the side of the road in front of beacon hills school. 'it's okay...it's normal to have mood swings Lydia.' She looked over at her daughter. Lydia nodded slightly. Natalie sighed, 'you can talk to me, you know that Lydia? I'm here if you want to tell me anything.' Lydia stayed silent for a few seconds then looked at her mom, 'yeah...thanks mom...I should go.' And at that, she got out the car. And watched her mom head toward the staff parking area.

Lydia slowly slumped into school, starting to feel the nausea again. Lydia then felt as if she was being watched and looked to see Jackson looking and coming towards her, she shook her head and continued walking. Jackson seemed to notice that she didn't have her usual strut she does when she walks into school. 'what's up with you?' he caught up with her and started walking with her.  'i felt sick all last night, was sick this morning, had a massive go at my mom and i feel sick again now.'

Jackson's eyes widened and he moved slightly away from her in their steps, 'umm...'

Lydia turned to look at him and glared at him, 'it was only something i ate Jackson, stop overreacting.' she told him. Jackson nodded, 'well, try not to be sick again...wait why did you have a go at your mom?'
