23: Dark Clouds and a Stolen Car

"OH. MY. LORD.....This sucks man! How did the Empire take our car?" Ruffling her hair she groaned, (Yn) was ready to naruto run right off a cliff. Prompto simply chucked at her childish behavior. "Maybe we could ask Ardyn to help us out again. Right?" everyone seemed to hate the idea of asking the imperial chancellor for help. Not only was he an enemy of their city but he was hella sus and needless to say, no one wanted that guy's help again.

While the group was talking amongst themselves. Macko who sat lazily near some trees, ears picked up movement a little ways further from them. Upon looking closer he discovered that it was an old friend, " Hey Umbra's here!" the grey wolf stood from his spot bounding over to him.

Everyone followed eagerly to see where this faithful companion would lead. After going a little ways from where they originally stood they were met face to face with Gentiana. the group stood in silence when she began to speak, "Hear me, Oh King of the Stone. By the Stormsender's blessing will the path to the stone be opened. The Oracle goes hence in her king's name." Noctis gasped asking where Luna might be. "the eye of the storm. When the covenant is forged, the oracle and ring shall await their king at the walls of water. Stray not from the path." When she finished her message, Gentiana vanished with the wind.

With no other choice, the six of them went on foot in search of the runestones. Once the prince made contact with the first stone he was given visions of his past when meeting Gentiana. She was a messenger of the gods who closely watched over Luna as she was the oracle. The second runestone was a piece of cake to find but now that left one more. It was located in a cave and poor Prom, (Yn), and Macko were really done with anything rock-related at the moment. But after a lot of shoving, they made it to the cave and successfully acquired the power of the gods. (well only Noctis did...) As they left the cave Noctis had a phone call from Cindy confirming that the car had been taken by the Empire and it was up to them to get it back.

(Yn) fist-pumped the air, "Aw yeah! We getting the car back!" The wolf next to her rolled his eyes, "Uh you do know that we have to infiltrate an Empire base and quite possibly have to fight soldiers and mecha's to get it right?" Macko deadpanned making Gladio smirk at his words. (Yn) scrunched her nose to this, casting her gaze towards them. She crossed her arms in defense, "Yeah so what, you being a lil bitch?" (Yn) stuck her tongue out while Prompto and Noctis looked back and forth between them like some kind of gossiping high schoolers. Macko grunted before yawning, " Fine we'll go, but do come crying to me when a freaking robot shoves a metal foot up your ass." Ignis laughed as he lightly ruffled (Yn)'s short hair. She pouted glancing towards her friends, everyone was determined to get the car back!

After quick surveillance of the stronghold, the six of them had a pretty decent idea of the layout of the base, and needless to say it could prove to be a challenge to infiltrate. So they decide to set up camp to devise a plan of attack.

Prompto set up the tent with the help of Gladio. Noctis and Macko started the fire along with taking out the chairs, and Ignis prepared the food while (Yn) diced some veggies. Ignis and (Yn) were making chit-chat while cooking together, it had been a while since the two made an actual meal with one another. Noctis looked up from the campfire to see the duo work their magic. His gaze lingering on the short female, the flame light danced over her form giving her an almost ethereal look. "Hey one of you donks try this sauce before I add it to the dish." (Yn) called over her shoulder towards the others. The prince stood from his spot while he made his way to her. Just as he was about to answer her a certain blonde met his side grabbing his attention. Prompto looked a little shocked before smirking towards his friend, "Oh did you want to try the lovely (Yn)-chan's food as well?" The prince simply rolled his eyes at the shorter males teasing, "Technically everyone will eat her food tonight so, get in line." Both men started to bicker about who would taste her food first before (Yn) finally intervened, "Alright! both yoots can try it, damn." She laughed handing each of them a spoon. Noctis reached for the utensil briefly feeling his fingers brush hers before bringing it to his lips. At that moment their eyes lit up in surprise, "This is amazing!" Prompto hopped up and down in his spot, (Yn) smiled with pride turning expectantly to Noctis. He hummed in satisfaction smiling, "Still a pro, it's great (Yn)."
