Daphne's POV
As I crossed the Forks' border I came to a stop at a cliff overlooking a small town near Forks. "I got your message." I said. Paul came out of the shadows. "I wasn't sure you'd come." He said. "Jasper told me not to, that it could just be a trap to get me out of the way before the fight." I said. "And you're so sure it's not?" He asked. "I know you, and I trust you." I said. "Maybe you shouldn't." He said. "Is that why you summoned me here?" I asked getting a bit frustrated now. "No. It's just...I'm not like Jake or Leah. I can't stand up for what's right 'cause I'm scared of leaving the pack, being on my own that is." He said. "I understand, but you're not alone, we might be the biggest group of misfits there is, I mean come on, vampires and werewolves?" he chuckled. "But we stick together, that's what family does." I finished. "I know, but..." He started. "I get it, you're scared. You know where to find me if you change your mind. But I have to go, Jasper said that he'll come here if I take too long." I said. We hugged and parted ways. I got back to the house and climbed to Jasper and I's room.
"Oh you're alive, thank God." He said and kissed me. "I told you he just wanted to talk." I said. "What about?" Jasper asked. "He said he was scared, that he didn't agree with Sam, but he doesn't want to leave." I said. We fell silent for a second. "What are you thinking about?" I asked him. "Us?" He said. "Oh, no, are you having doubts, 'cause the mate thing doesn't always work out and I hoped it wouldn't happen to us but now you're thinking about leaving me..." I started to ramble. "No, not that. Marrying you was the best decision I ever made in my life." He interrupted me. "Oh..." I said. "It's just, I don't want to loose you and, if the wolves don't get us than the Volturi..." It was his turn to ramble. "Than we run, or stay and fight but we do that together." I said. We laid down on our bed and just cuddled for a while.
Hello, yes, I'm alive... We have a short break from school so I'll get a few longer chapters in.
