When Jacob found out Ed and Bella were back he rushed to the Cullen residence. "Mutt alert!" Rose sarcastically said, already smelling him. "He thinks you've turned." I told Bella. Carlisle went to open the door. "Is it true?" Jacob asked. "Jacob, how are you?" Carlisle asked trying to defuse the tension. "Listen, just give it to me straight..." Jacob started. "Jacob is that you?" Bella asked. "She's here?" Jacob turned to Carlisle. "They came home two weeks ago." Carlisle said. Jacob rushed to the room. "Jake," Carlisle said going after him. He climbed upstairs. Rose and I were blocking Bella so he couldn't see her. He came nearer.
"Glad you came." Bella said. He wanted to come closer but Rose took one step toward him. "Close enough." I said. "What's your problem?" He asked. "Rose, Daph, it's ok." Bella said. We stepped aside. He sat next to her. "You look terrible." Jake said. "Yeah, it's nice to see you too." Bella said. "So, you're gonna tell me whats wrong with you?" Jake asked. "Daph, you wanna help me up?" Bella asked. I came by her side. I helped her stand. Once Jake saw the belly he go angry. "You did this." He said coming towards Ed. Emmet stopped him.
"We didn't even know it was possible." Carlisle said. "What is it?" Jake asked. "I'm not sure, ultrasounds and needles won't penetrate the embryonic sac." Carlisle said. "I can't see it either, and I can't see Bella's future anymore." Alice said. "We've been researching legends, but there isn't much to go on. What we do know is that it's strong and fast-growing." Carlisle said. "Why haven't you done anything? Take it out of her!" Jake said. "This is none of your business dog." Rose said. "Rose!" Esmee warned. "All this fighting isn't good for Bella." She finished. "The fetus isn't good for Bella!" Alice said. "Say the word, Alice. 'Baby' It's just a little baby!" I said. "Possibly." Jasper said. I harshly turned to him. He looked down. "Carlisle you've got to do something." Jake said.
"No." Bella said. "It's not his decision. It's not any of yours." She continued. "Jacob I need to talk to you." Edward said and led Jacob out of the house.
