Peter Parker/Avengers one-shots

First Avengers Training Session

Disclaimer: I do not own any of these characters, they belong to Marvel (and Sony?) These stories are purely fanfiction for the enjoyment of others and so once more I do not own these characters at all.

 

Peter was excited for his first training session with the Avengers. Sure they'd fought together before but now he was officially part of the team and everyone was on the same side and not destroying an airport or critically injuring friends. Point was that Peter couldn't wait for school to be over and to get to Avengers tower. The bell rang and Peter said bye to Ned and was about to leave when one of Flash's cousin's (because I feel as though the current flash is just annoying and not really a physical bully guy) shows up. His name was Duke Thompson and he rarely showed up to the school which was of course a relief to Peter. Duke on occasion picked up his cousin Flash and the one thing the two had in common was a hatred for him. Peter sighs as he watches Duke approach while Flash live streams about his school day a little ways off by Duke's car.

"Hey Penis Parker!" Duke yells and Peter groaned, he had to get to Avengers tower and he did not have time for this.

"Not today Duke, your cousin has already thoroughly embarrassed me so you're off the hook." Peter tries to reason his way out of the situation. "And plus I have to get to my Stark Internship."

"You don't have to go anywhere, that internship is fake and I don't care what Flash did Parker, you ain't going nowhere." Duke retorts spitting a little.

"Have a nice day Duke." Peter says attempting to move past the bully. Duke wasn't happy with Peter's actions and grabbed the front of his shirt, lifting him off the ground.

"Have a nice day?" Duke grumbled. "You're real funny Parker. Trying to get away when you know you deserve to get your ass kicked." Now, Peter could have easily gotten away but he didn't want Duke to go and pick on Ned or MJ, he also didn't want to accidentally hurt him. Duke didn't hesitate any longer, he punched Peter, giving him a black eye, split lip and a cut on his forehead. Peter didn't care, it would heal completely overnight and he had places to be. Duke shoved Peter to the ground and dragged Flash into the car before driving off. Peter picked himself up, ran to the nearest alleyway to change and swung over to Avengers Tower.

Steve and Bucky were sparring in the far corner while Wanda and Vision tried to take each other down as a warm up. Tony was talking with Bruce because Thor was nowhere to be seen and Clint and Sam were shooting at each other waiting for the kid to show up. Natasha was adjusting her gun and other weapons while Scott tinkered with his suit. All the group was missing was their newest member. Tony, who was beginning to get a little fed up was about to ask FRIDAY for Peter's location when the young teen swung into the room taking off his mask. Peter's healing had already kicked in and his black eye was almost healed along with his split lip and cut. Peter wasn't thinking about it but Bucky stopped fighting Steve and tapped his friend.

"Hey Steve, what happened to the spider kid?" Bucky asked, pointing to Peter. Steve looked over at Peter but before he could say anything Tony intervened.

"Kid, what hap-" Tony began to say but was cut off.

"Sorry I'm late Mr Stark, it took longer to get here than I thought it would." Peter smiled. Tony raised an eyebrow at the spiderling while Steve walked over.

"You stop some mugging on the way over or something Queens?" Steve asked.

"It would appear so." Vision jumps into the conversation.

"I got you, Vis" Wanda shouts as she uses her red power to push Vision up against the wall. She gained the advantage while he was momentarily distracted. With a proud smile she let Vision go and looked over at Peter. "You okay Peter?" Wanda asks her friend and he smiles.

"Course I am." Peter looks around the room. "I just want to start training."

"Yeah, so do we, but why are you hurt?" Tony asks, showing his care for the kid once more. Peter, realizing that he wasn't fully healed, allows his smile to falter slightly.

"Just some guy at school." Peter tries to make it sound not important because to him it wasn't a big deal.

"You're getting beat up at school?" Wanda asks, concern for her friend showing as she stopped levitating with her powers and touched down on the ground near Peter. Steve looked over at a clearly pissed off Tony as Peter sighed.

"Yeah." Peter admits. "But better me than some other kid." He quickly adds, causing Bucky to smile.

"Remind you of anyone Steve." Bucky says with a grin. Steve looked at his long time friend and Peter looked between them.

"Who does this remind you of James?" Vision asks flying over and landing beside Wanda.

"Well, this kid's like a certain someone I know who got beat up in every alley in New York without ever backing down." Bucky smirks. "He is seriously a lot like you Steve." Steve looked at his friend and smiled.

"Well when we're working together in the lab it's almost like working with Tony." Bruce adds and Peter smiles wider.

"Can we stop giving this kid a big head." Sam chimes in.

"Yeah, but he's like a mini Cap and Tony, just less cliche and stubborn." Clint adds, receiving glares from both mocked heroes. A bang echoes through the room and everyone looks at Natasha who just fired her gun in the air.

"Okay, if you boys are done talking, we should train." Nat smiles, getting into a ready position and holstering her firearm. The rest of the group exchanged looks and grins before jumping into training. And Peter was right, his first Avengers training session was as cool as he imagined. 

Thanks for reading, but I probably won't post another one-shot here for a while though. And I'm realizing I've been sort of connecting these stories but I might make a few that don't follow the weird timeline I've created here. Also for the record I didn't mean to make it one connected story it just sort of happened.
