I just checked and I haven't posted anything new for this book since October 2022! It's June 15th, 2023 now. I actually haven't posted on my account much of all in recent months... Anyways he's a story! (it's a long one)

Summary: Peter avoids the tower while mourning Uncle Ben and his parent's passing when the anniversaries come around/Peter opens up to the Avengers about what happened to his family. (My take on Tom Holland's Spider-Man's backstory)

----------

Peter hadn't been to the tower in a few days. He hadn't been out as Spider-man and he wasn't responding to any of the Avengers' texts. Tony tried not to worry along with the rest of the Avengers, but this was unusual for their favourite Spider kid. The only reason none of them had gone looking for Peter was because of the kid's friend, Ned. It was a last option for Tony, but before he burst into Peter's room, he wanted to call one last person. All the Avengers were there for the call which turned out to be a mistake, it took Ned twice as long to calm down from his fan-boying.

"You done?" Tony finally snapped, becoming impatient. Ned nodded on the screen as Tony regretted the facetime call over the phone. "Okay, good." Tony sighed. "You're Peter's best friend and he's not answering any-" Before Tony could even begin to phrase the question Ned interrupted.

"He's fine." The young boy rubbed the back on his neck, his smile and excitement completely gone all of a sudden.

"Then why has he gone completely off the radar?" Natasha asked, her arms crossed. If she had her way, they'd already be at Peter's apartment. There was a silence as a thoughtfully sad look washed over Ned.

"This happens every year..." Ned starts out, no longer really looking at his phone. "Peter doesn't like talking about it, and it always hits him around now, but he can never be sure of the exact date so he just acts like it's not coming." Ned let out a long strained sigh. "Then one day he'll wake up and then he just feels it all over again. I can't help him, and Aunt May is usually feeling it too so they just mourn together."

"Mourn?" Steve repeated, picking out the key word in the vague explanation.

"Peter's parents... and his uncle. They died around this time of year. Different years, but same season. I'm not sure if that's a sick sorta blessing or some messed up curse." Ned seemed to get lost in his thoughts, but then he snapped back to reality as Bucky cleared his throat. "Look," Ned said with a little more lightness to his tone again. "Peter will be back soon enough and everything will seem as normal as before. Just let him have this time and before you know it you'll be building lego deathstars together-" Ned suddenly seemed embarrassed and he gave an awkward chuckle. "Or whatever, certainly not something like that of course..." A small smile graced Wanda's features and she thanked Ned ending the call.

"I guess young Parker is alright," Vision concludes. "We should give him this time."

"It doesn't seem that healthy," Clint cuts in. "Is he really going to come back and act like he didn't ghost us for a week."

"You say that as if we have healthy coping mechanisms," Natasha reminds her friend.

"Still, it doesn't feel right not at least trying to help him. I often forget he's been through so much with how positive and upbeat he is." Steve rested his elbows on his knees and shook his head.

"Well, if we can't think of anything to do, we should probably leave him to grieve in his own way."

"No," Tony cut in. "Banner, I understand what you're saying, but when he comes to the Tower next I want to talk to him about this. He shouldn't keep it all bottled up."
