I woke up with Winter still fast asleep next to me. She looks so beautiful and cute when she's sleeping, I thought. I heard her yawn and watched as she slowly opened her breathtaking slate-blue eyes. I smiled and said, "Hey, Snow Angel. How'd you sleep?" She smiled and said, "Better than I ever have." I kissed her forehead and said, "Me too. I love you." She rested her head on my bare chest and said, "I love you too." I held her in my arms and heard my Scroll go off. I reached for it on the nightstand and saw a message from the General.

I set down my Scroll and sighed. Winter looked up at me and said, "What is it?" I sighed again and replied, "The General wants me to help him with extra security tonight while he unveils the AK-200's in Vale." She looked at me and said, "I see. Well then, I guess you'll have to get ready to leave soon." I nodded and said, "Yep. And I had planned on spending time with Violet today." Then I thought about it and said, "Wait, what if you spent the day with Violet for me. I mean since we're dating now, I think that it'll be best if you two form some kind of bond." Winter looked at me and said, "I guess that would be okay. But I think we should go to your house together before you leave." I smiled and nodded. Then I got up and got dressed. I went downstairs so Winter could get changed too. After we both got something to eat, I led her to my sister's house. I knocked on the door and Saffron answered it. She let us in and said, "Nice to see you again, Winter." Winter smiled amd said, "You too, Saffron." My sister smiled and said, "Please call me Saff." Winter nodded and I said, "Hey, sis. Is Violet up yet? It's important." Saffron nodded and said, "She just went upstairs to get changed." I smiled and said, "Perfect." I ran upstairs and found my daughter finish getting dressed. I went in her room and said, "Hey, Violet, sweetie. Can we talk real quick?" She nodded and we both sat on her bed. I took a deep breath and said, "Violet, I know that I had promised to spend the day with you, but Daddy has to go to Vale for another mission tonight. So we won't be able to spend time together today. But I was wondering if you'd like to spend it with Winter instead?" Violet smiled and said, "Okay. Besides I can tell how happy Miss Winter makes you, Daddy." I ruffled her hair and said, "Thanks for being so understanding, sweetheart. I love you." She hugged me and said, "I love you too, Daddy." We both went downstairs and I told Winter that Violet was okay with spending the day with her. Once I was sure that everything would be okay, I boarded a Bullhead to Vale.
When I arrived in Vale, the General asked me to patrol the perimeter near the docks and the old warehouses down there. I started patrolling and keeping watch on the area. As daylight faded and the night came around. I activated my HCA for extra protection. As I walked by one of the abandoned warehouses, my HCA alerted me and said, "MULTIPLE PEOPLE DETECTED IN NEARBY STRUCTURE. SEVERAL POSSIBLE HOSTILES DETECTED. HIGH QUANTITIES OF DUST DETECTED AS WELL." I quickly snuck my way onto the warehouse roof and found an partially opened window on the roof. It was opened just enough for me to see and hear inside. I used my HCA to zoom in and enhance the audio while it recorded the conversation that was going on inside between a group of somewhat suspicious looking people. It identified the people in the group as Cinder Fall, Emerald Sustrai, Mercury Black, Adam Taurus, and Roman Torchwick. Cinder was discussing with them about what sounded like plans to attack Beacon and take out its attached CCT Tower. After they had dispersed, I stealthily made way off the roof and made my way away from the warehouse unseen. Once I was sure that I hadn't been followed, I pulled out my Scroll and messaged Ironwood.

I put my Scroll in my pocket and headed to Beacon Academy. I went to the Headmaster's office and found Ozpin sitting at his desk. He looked up at me and said, "Ah, Phoenix. Ironwood said that you had something urgent to discuss involving the safety of Beacon?" I nodded and said, "I do, but it'd be best to wait for the General to get here before I start." A few minutes later, the elevator doors opened and revealed Ironwood, who entered the room and said, "What's this possible security breach?" I set my Scroll on the desk and said, "I was out patrolling and heard some activity coming from a supposedly abandoned warehouse. I made my way to the rooftop and found an opened window. I then heard and recorded this conversation." I pressed play on my Scroll, playing the recording of the conversation that I had overheard. Once the video had finished, Ozpin looked at me and said, "Well, I must say that this is alarming. Thank you, Phoenix, for sharing this information with us." Ironwood nodded and said, "Yes. Thanks to you, we can take out and arrest these criminals before they put any of their plans into action." I nodded and said, "Just doing my duty as a Huntsman." They both thanked me and I left. I managed to catch the last Bullhead heading to Atlas.
When it finally landed, it was already after midnight. I went to my sister's house and found my girlfriend and my daughter asleep on the couch together with the TV on. I smiled as I turned off the TV and carried Violet to her room. I put her to bed and tucked her in. I gave her a gentle kiss on the head before I left the room and closed the door. I went back downstairs and picked up Winter bridal style. I carried her up to my room and laid her on my bed. I took off her coat and boots, then I headed to the bathroom to change into a pair of gray sweatpants. I climbed into the bed next to her and pulled the covers over us. She moved her head and rested it on my bare chest. I smiled and wrapped my arms around her waist. Then I drifted off to sleep.
