AN: We're back with the beginning of the next "chapter" in their lives. This took a while to finish as I was doing coursework for my job. But that is over so....We get some good band moments, Ghost being Ghost, Madison and Charlie dealing with traveling, a Franchophobe, and Madison meeting Jeanette for the first time. Also the address that Charlie gives the cab driver is NOT his actual address. It is just the address of a home that I thought was similar enough and in Dieppe.
Going forward in Part 2 there will be lots more French and Spanish, especially French. As such there are more translations.
Abuelo= Grandfather
Oui, mon amour= Yes, my love.
Ah tabernacle! Ma chemise! Chaud! Chaud!= Ah shit/fuck! My shirt! Hot! Hot!
Que paso?= (Literally) What's up. (In this case) What's wrong.
Le café s'est renversé sur moi. Ça a brûlé un peu.= The coffee spilled on me. It burns a little.
Está bien. Déjame conseguir unas servilletas.= It's okay. Let me get some napkins.
Muévete= Move
J'aimais bien cette chemise. Maintenant, c'est foutu.= I liked this shirt. It's ruined now.
Cállate, idiota= Shut up, you dork.
s'il vous plait= Please (formal)
Oui, monsieur= Yes, sir.
Ella es muy bonita= She is very pretty!
ven aquí= come here
grand-mère= Grandmother
Pas de bagarre, tu deux= No fighting, you two.
Maman= Mother
chérie=honey, sweetheart, dear, etc.
---------------------------
It was a bright and warm day and there were perfect skies for flying. Madison looked out the doors to the entrance of Vancouver International. There was promise of it being a good day. "Madison are you listening to me," her father asked, waving his hand in front of her face.
Madison shook her head out of her wonderings. "Sorry Dad. What were you saying?"
Ricardo grimaced. "I was saying that you should keep me updated on your way to New Brunswick. I am leaving this afternoon so I will be available if anything happens, alright."
Madison rolled her eyes at her father's worrying. "Don't worry Ric. Everything will be fine. We'll be landing at Toronto-Pearson for our connecting flight at 11:30 PST and flying to Roméo Leblanc at 12:35 PST. We'll be in Dieppe by 6:35 Atlantic Standard Time," Charlie rattled off nonchalantly, his French accent thicker at the end. Ghost barked at his side in agreement.
Ricardo rubbed his temples and groaned. "I am not even going to follow that. Mad just send me a text when you have your layover and when you get to Dieppe."
Madison kept her lips from moving so she didn't giggle. It was way too early for everyone besides Charlie to be up. "Got it. I'll be sure to call when we are settled at Charlie's mom's house."
"I can't believe you are really leaving," Owen whimpered. The tallest band member was still wearing his goat slippers and had on his sweats and an old shirt of Charlie's he stole.
Madison stuck her bottom lip out in a pout. "Aw don't worry Owen. We'll all be in contact to watch our telenovelas. You won't even realize we're all apart."
