AN: So I realized that I cannot put in everything that I wish to for this story. Cause it would then take forever to finish. I have to make do with what can actually be put in. Anyway, this is Mads, the Gillespie 5, and Ghost out camping. Also regarding Michael, he has been sober since around 14 September 2020. I am making an assumption that it is alcohol he is sober from. The time is based off it being 31 July 2021 in this chapter. As you'd expect, mayhem ensues.

French in this chapter:

Ours-bear

Non! Elle ne te croira pas- No! She will not believe you!

Oui! Je suis son fils préféré- Yes she will! I'm her favorite son!

"Make sure that you have everything," Jeanette cautioned as Charlie stuffed the last things in the back of the Subaru.

Charlie and his siblings rolled their eyes. "Maman we're fine. Mads triple checked that we had everything. Don't worry."

Jeanette slapped her youngest son's shoulder. "I just don't want anything going wrong. This is Madison's first time really camping."

Patrick sighed. "She'll be fine. We'll all be there together. Stop freaking out."

Meghan nodded as she threw her travel pillow into the backseat. "Seriously, Mum. You are working yourself up."

Jeanette huffed as she turned back to the house. "Well excuse me for caring. Such ungrateful children. Could have had two but no! Got 5 instead," Jeanette ranted as she made her way up the walk to the front door.

Madison poked her head out of the passenger seat with Ghost in her lap. "I think Maman needs a spa day."

Charlie sighed. "Yeah don't get her really started. Everyone in. We're off. Ghost no jumping from the front seat to the back."

Ghost's ears drooped at the order. "You've made him sad," Madison said as she sat the right way in her seat and closed the door.

"We don't need a repeat of the other day when we almost hit into that produce truck," Charlie replied as he walked around to the driver's side.

"Okay I think we have a problem here," Michael said. He was sitting in the middle between Ryan and Patrick.

Charlie looked back at the middle Gillespie sibling using the rearview mirror. "What do you mean?"

Patrick huffed. "I'm way too tall to be sitting back here! I should be in the front where I have more leg room."

Charlie rolled his eyes as he pulled out of the driveway of the Gillespie home. "Mads and Ghost stay in the front. No buts."

"I don't know what you three are complaining about. This is perfect to me," Meghan said as she laid across her three older brothers in a pose. Madison laughed as she looked over the back of her seat at the youngest Gillespie sibling.

The six young adults walked to the spot that they had designated as their camping ground with Ghost trotting beside his human father with Madison's hiking "purse" in his mouth. "Alright. So we are at the Bay of Fundy. We are catching fish and getting firewood and foraging for small fruits and nuts. Understood," Charlie stated liked a boy scout leader.

"Yes sir, Discount Bear Grylls," Patrick said with a salute. Madison and Meghan giggled and Charlie glared at his older brother.

"Shut up! Now who wants to go get the wood for later and who wants to set up the site?"
