Allison's POV

"Come on, don't tell me you just choose to not do anything about it?" Aristria said.

We were still in the library since we have no more remaining classes to attend to. Jonathan went out to get something from his locker. Amelia was reading a book while Aristria and Amora kept bugging me that I should break Samuel and Cadence up. That's not a very good idea.

"We can still be friends, you know." Ouch. Sucks to be in the friend zone. Reality hurts, homie.

"Sucks to be you." Both of them said in unison.

We went quiet for a moment. Should I do anything about it? No. I don't want to be portrayed as the bad guy. Not this time. Maybe this is just a crush. I'm certain that it is. Well, is it just a crush or could it be more?

My thoughts were interrupted when Amelia asked.

"We're going to Antoine's party, right?"

"I'm going if you guys will," Amora said.

"I'm definitely going." Aristria.

"That's tomorrow, right? Friday?" I asked.

"Well, you better--" Aristria stopped talking when we heard the library door opened. She looked past behind then at me, "Shit. It's Cadence."

"What?" I turned around, "Is she looking for someone?" I asked when I saw her looking around in the library. I gulped when she found my gaze and smiled. Kill me, now. She was approaching us now. She greeted my friends first before she shifted her gaze to me.

"I've been looking for you." She said.

"Why? Missed me already?" I joked. She just raised an eyebrow. "Okay, sorry."

"I wanna talk to you about something." I just nodded in response.

"Be right back," I told my friends before going to another aisle to talk in private with Cadence.

Once we got into a secluded place, I asked, "So um, what is it that you want to talk about?" I asked, avoiding eye contact. Also, hoping it's not about her and Samuel.

"I think I can't join you and Savannah after class." She said, looking down. I just looked at her and waited for her to continue. "I have to go somewhere with-"

'Called it.'

"Hey, it's fine." I smiled. "I already know. Samuel told me." Unfortunately.

"Are you sure? I mean, I can just tell Samuel-" I cut her off again.

"It's totally cool. Savannah and I can manage. Besides, it only needs some finalizing and we're done!" I tried to be enthusiastic. "No need to worry about it."

"Thank you." I was surprised when she hugged me and pulled right away. "I promise, I'll make it up to you both."

"Whatever you say." I laughed. "Have fun with your date, hoe." I playfully punched her arm.

"Hoe?" I just laughed and shooed her away.

"Just go!" I said. I was dragging her to the exit.

"Can't you let me stay here for a little while?! The date is not until 5 PM." She insisted. You can't stay here.

"No," I smirked and shook my head.
