Allison's POV

"You," I said.

I watched her blush as she tried to muster up something to say.

'Yeah, that was intended.'

"I meant what about you? What's your Ideal Type?" I smirked. "I don't really have a type, by the way."

"Oh, um," She laughed nervously as she shifted in her seat. "I guess I could say... Same. I don't have one."

It was my turn to ask something, and when I was about to, someone called me. I turned to them and heard they were talking about video games.

"Yo, Allison! You're friends with that blonde dude, right? What was his name?" Lucas asked.

"Samuel?" I glanced at Cadence for a second and noticed her attention wasn't on us.

"Yeah, him."

"We're friends. Why?" I smiled.

"I met him a few weeks ago and played for a bit. Are you guys going out?" Lucas smirked. I laughed and this caught Cadence's attention.

"Lucas, no. My sister is a lesbian," Audrey replied.

"Oh, shit. I'm sorry!"

He apologized a lot. Honestly, this has happened a lot in school.

"It's fine. People think that a lot but not anymore, now that Samuel's no longer single," I turned to Cadence and smirked, and she just sighed trying to avoid the topic.

"Oh, okay. What about you? You're single, right?" Everyone was looking at me, waiting for my answer.

"I bet she ain't single anymore. I mean, look at her. She's hot," Jaymes said.

I laughed, "I have a girlfriend."

Lucas dramatically gasped and clasped his chest. Even Audrey almost choked on her food, looking at me with a "What the fuck" expression, knowing damn well it was a lie.

"See?!" Jaymes turned to Lucas.

"I'm not arguing with you right now Jaymes!" Lucas.

"You do?" Cadence turned to me, I couldn't tell her expression. It was weird.

'Does it even matter to you?'

"No, Cadence. She's single and doesn't plan on dating anybody either," Audrey sipped on her drink. I laughed. "But I'm sure if you were to ask her out, I bet she'd say yes."

"She's right," I smirked. "I'm only kidding."

I saw Cadence's jaw dropped.

"Oh, my God."

Everyone laughed and teased us.

"You guys would look hot together, I-" Jaymes.

"I'd totally be fine if you two would end up together," Cadence's brother winked at me. I laughed even harder while Cadence was as red as a tomato.

"Okay, please stop," Cadence warned.

"Me going out with Cadence would be like getting blood out of a stone. It's impossible," I shook my head.

'Not gonna lie, my own words stung me a bit. But did I lie, though?'

"Right, Cadence?" I turned to her, and I noticed her expression changed from embarrassed to confused. She just nodded.
