Allison's POV

"I'm Dreanna Carlson, and you are?" Dreanna smiled, she then held her hand out for a handshake. Cadence politely took it and smiled.

"Cadence Lewis. Nice to meet you." She introduced.

"Oh, so you're Cadence?" Dreanna pursed her lips and nodded. "Allison talks about you a lot!" She pointed at me. My eyes widened as she exposed me. This fucker. I looked at Cadence who was confused but was starting to enjoy the topic.

"Oh, she does?" She had a slight smirk, while here I was embarrassed as heck. I sighed.

"Yup," Dreanna laughed then sipped on her drink. "Seems like you guys had an important conversation so I'll let you guys continue."

"It's fine, don't worry," Cadence said.

"Oh no, I'll just talk to Allison on the phone later. See you guys on Monday." She waved then left us alone again.

I wanted to leave already. I know Cadence is going to tease me about what Dreanna had just told her. I glanced at Cadence.

"So, how often do you talk about me? On the phone?" She teased.

"No, I don't. Dreanna was lying." I denied. Avoiding eye contact.

She laughed, "Come on."

"I have nothing to tell you."

"Sure, Matthews." She smirked and swirled her drink.

I was still looking at her but she broke eye contact. I wondered how someone could look this perfectly fine. Light brown hair but shone with sunlight, it's slightly reddish, and her ocean blue eyes. Those lips. She was just flawless.

'Well, you can't blame me.'

I kept quiet and so did she. Her gaze wasn't on me but it was on Samuel, who was with his friends. She was smiling. It hurts. I felt myself frown at the sight. I looked down at my hands then, wondering if I should continue this or just stop before it gets really difficult.

I stood up then, deciding to just get out of here. I can't cry in the middle of a party.

"Hey, where are you going?" She called but I didn't turn around and face her.

"I wanna go home. My head is starting to hurt," I noticed that she also stood up walking behind me.

"All of a sudden? Are you okay?"

Am I okay?

Those words stabbed me like a knife but I didn't have any right to get mad at her. I shouldn't be feeling this way but instead, I should be happy for her. I tried my best to pull on my best poker face.

"Yeah, I just need to rest 'cause I feel like shit already." I laughed. She was concerned.

"Are you sure?" I faced her.

"Cadence, I'm fine. I just need to sleep, that's all."

"Wait, just a minute--"

I waved her goodbye and as I turned around, I bumped into Jonathan. "Jon! Great timing!" I whispered. He looked at me and Cadence, then he just sighed.

"The car's here. We're leaving." He said with a hidden sadness in his voice.

I turned back to Cadence, "I have to go and just find me on Instagram! Bye!" Then I dragged Jonathan out of the crowd.
